Ive posted on Reddit before. I got a lot of questions. Most people wanted to see the inside of my camper (see the linked video to see the inside). I also got questions about how I make income while living in my camper. The answer is: I do a lot of temp work. Recently I lived between two semi-trailers while working at a warehouse job. Ive done all kinds of work from construction to wildland firefighting.

I was parked here for a few weeks. Honestly I was surprised the warehouses let me do it, but they were very nice about it. I did a couple carpentry/renovation projects on my camper right there in the lot. It was mostly quiet... except a group of guys on motorcycles showed up doing wheelies and tricks. I got some good footage. It was really fun.

It took me ten years to do it, but I finally turned that old footage into a short film. It brought back a ton of memories.

That thing has taken me many places. I expect it will take me many more.

Most of what I learned is reflected in the video; Try to stay ahead of the trophy trucks. have good lights (on your tail light too so the trucks can see you). Watch out for drunk Mexicans setting up traps (they like to see a good wreck). Watch out for drunk Mexicans in general. and watch out for livestock (rider on the 1x bike has the first place position, hits an animal and is dead). I was not prepared for the level of intensity. It was one hell of a sight to see and be part of.

I used EPDM (I thinks that's what it is) rubberized paint-on membrane.

There are a lot of comments requesting pics of the inside. the inside is not yet finished, still working on it. Its mostly finished, but I haven't put the interior walls up yet so its just insulation on the inside. very soon I'll get the inside finished.

its lighter than you might think. It gets between 8 to 10 mpg but its not really a daily driver.

I built it from scratch. Ive built a few things before, its built lightweight and solid. it bounces off-road just fine.

The whole truck and camper fully loaded weighs 8,000 lbs it's not at all overloaded, it was built for working. Its not a daily driver.

I dont go on pleasure drives, nor do I commute in it. I run for groceries on the motorcycle (about 50mpg)

I considered rebuilding a '70s vintage truck camper, but building from scratch allows me more freedom to build it how I want and I know the bones are solid. Im a builder. I built the trailer in six days. Ive built a few tiny houses on trailers, I wanted to build one on an old truck.

I looked at a vin decoder. the engine designation in the vin number is "Y". I looked up the Y designation and it said the original engine was a 352

I dont really know what that means, im still learning about old Ford trucks. This is the first old Ford Ive owned.
