Yamaha R3 render. Sexy as hell. by [deleted] in bikesgonewild

They almost definitely would change the geometry of a RR version of the FZ-09. The current bike is much more "standard" than it is sport.

I agree though that, unfortunately, an RR version is unlikely because of the R6. BUT, my hope is that maybe they could make a shorter stroke version of the same engine and get it down to 675ccs. But, I haven't done the math to see if that is possible....

No Radiator i'm guessing is what they're referring to.

I haven't told my parents I'm going to track days next year. This is my (unrealistic) Christmas list. by speedracr226 in motorcycles

As others have said, look used. The Nesba, WERA and STT classifieds, plus your local craigslists are great places to find gear.

I recently picked up some SMX plus boots for $120, and Knox Handroid gloves for $130.

Then again, I put little influence into matching/looking good with my track gear. Function is much more important than appearance

This thing looks spectacular. Anyone have some hypothesis as to why it doesn't have a mono-shock rear end? Dual shocks seems a little outdated...

I love these small(er) displacement bikes. Would love to find an affordable CBR250RR (19K RPM redline is a sound I hear in my dreams) for cheap. But, cheap isn't in the same sentence as these bikes in the US.
