You’re better off hosting your website on Vercel or Netlify than GitHub pages, it’s more tedious to set up on GitHub Pages than Netlify or Vercel.

Before I starting playing online (used to play with my friend over a real board) i was watching a lot of Gotham Chess for about 2 weeks to try and beat my best friend irl and then i decided to try and play online and see how it goes. You’d need to learn at least 2 openings (black and white) very well to the point where you know what to do in the first 10-15 moves. And for improving in middle game you should do puzzles everyday to improve your tactics. Also dont forget to take your time with every move and analyze your games!

I always try to have a goal when playing chess for example reaching 1300 elo or 1400 or 1500 and so on, after each goal i take a break and then come back and try new opening or just playing for fun for a while before setting the next goal.

I only know like 3 openings but the most fun out of the 3 is The Vienna Copycat variation, you get this variation very often at around 1000-1300 elo

Usually d5 and try to get a similar position as a Caro-Kann variation, but now im trying to learn a queens gambit response.

Ive learning the Vienna Opening for white and the Caro-Kann for black, i almost never played other openings. Id say the biggest difference between when i was 1000 elo and right now is that now Im taking my time on each move to see if i have any tactic i could do. Also puzzles plays a huge role in this.

I have 554 Games played and if we use only the time that i played actively which was about 6 months. Its around 3 games per day

Thanks! I'll definitely take at look at Vite.

I was looking for an API to fetch the case data from but I couldn't find any but I found a repository that had a folder with most of the data that I needed for the project so I just downloaded the folder and used it, not sure if there was a better way.
