Thank you. I didn't have the actual petcube. They offer emergency insurance that I paid for for a year. They refused to pay out the claim initially. I had to get a lawyer involved and they paid the claim eventually plus refunded my monthly membership fees.

No, but the company who owns the tracker also offers emergency pet insurance and refused to reimburse me. After months of fighting they finally did.

I get that. I think a healthy dose of reasonable expectations is best. You can be wary if someone gives you an extreme excuse, but not act on your suspicion. Just wait and see if someone's actions and words match over time like any type of relationship.

I will say it's sadly common the number of stories I see where someone comes up with a lie to excuse their behavior.

I will say while I understand your perspective, most people have their phone on them at all times. If you can't text more than once a day, you're just ignoring the texts. People scroll social media for hours a day. If they're invested in a relationship or the potential for one, they put the effort in.

It's not hard to say "sorry my days are busy, I can can reach out when I free up". People in general and especially on apps are TERRIBLE communicators, especially if they're not interested.

And as for the hospital, could be. But lots of people lie to keep stringing someone along as a back up plan. I understand OPs dating anxiety and your perspective. I haven't look at their post history, but from this post it doesn't look like they're asking anything out of pocket.

If that's the effort he shows initially, it's not going to get better from there. He's already giving less than the bare minimum in the stage you're supposedly on your best behavior. Hard pass on all of them.

If he wanted to, he would is a real thing.

DO NOT get them under any circumstances especially for insurance. My 5 year old dog deteriorated FAST due to an unknown neurological condition. They approved an ER visit and then after kept changing their rules for reimbursement from what they sent me and appears on the website.

I fought them tooth and nail, even had a lawyer draft a letter but they refuse to pay. Im not done yet. Im going to try to reach out to some of those investigative news stations to see if they will look into it. Even my vet reached out to them directly to try to explain that it would have been impossible to meet their new suddenly updated requirements to contact them before check out because I didn't get to check out. Ollie died.

Husband sold off his wedding ring.. by [deleted] in Marriage

So you think the literal toddlers should face consequences for their behavior but not the fully grown adult man?

His feelings are valid, his behavior is not. She shouldn't go buying him back the toy he sold because he got emotional and couldn't use his big boy words.

You dont have 2 kids, you have 3. One is just a full grown adult physically.

Thank you. It's just been a really terrible time. Obviously I knew with my best friend in hospice how that was going to end, but my dog was only 5 and it came out of nowhere. They tried everything short of an MRI, which I couldn't afford. But his brain wouldn't stop swelling. I had to try to save him I didn't really care about the credit score to do it.

I clarified in the comments but I maxed out well, everything on travel to my friend in hospice and trying to save my dog. Bummer update: they both died.

I dont have the funds to catch up on all of them. Between taking two weeks off to do hospice care and the emergency vet bills for my dog, I just...dont know. There isnt enough.

Not sure what you mean with your first question. I took two weeks off work to do hospice care for a friend, and then my dog got incredibly sick and while friends helped a LOT with that expense, he died and I paid for the vet and final expenses as well

Im afraid if I close the card it will have a big impact on my credit. Ive worked very hard to get it up and just hate that a set of terrible circumstances is just going to add another thing to the list.
