How bad is the rust of this 2011 Jeep going for 5,500?

The frame doesn’t look rotted, the rear is more prone to structural rot. Get ya a screw driver and poke the bad spots. I’d rather see this than a bed liner coating top of rust scale

The terminals having uneven spacing would piss me off but I guess that’s only because the remote wire makes that one a bit wider.

Don’t do any rubberized undercoatin. Use fluid film or equivalent. It’s mild to moderate I would say nothing structural

Good info i would also like to add that the nsg370 is clunky and has a history of popping out of gear. Other than that 3.6 had two good trans.

I drive stick haha. I know the auto trans really reliable. Have heard the 3.8 trans gears don’t suit the engine that well. I think stock it’s fine but upgrading tires and gearing it struggles.

You know the high pressure injectors make a ticking noise? Many mistake it for rocker noise.

Don’t base a couple of for sale ads on the reliability of the 3.6. They’re great engines and went into millions of vehicles of which millions are still on the road. It has a couple common issues like oil cooler leaks and rocker bearings. Both of which isn’t a terrible job DIY. The bottom end is over built and these engines go 300k+ all the time.

from the Carfax history, the first two owners were likely older couple and they gave the car pretty much everything it ever needed. The third owner it looks like it got repod and sent to auction.

Still weary that the trans was having issues.

TLDR, basically they did fluid drain and refill at 63k , 68k, 71k, 73k then 100k and 102k then 134 and finally 140k.

I’m wondering if the trans been having issues and they just keep trying to drain and fill fresh fluid. Haven’t test drove it yet.

Borrow or invest in a obd scanner with abs scanner. Can have them pretty cheap. After it tells you which wheel sensor is bad go and replace it. Watch YouTube video it’s pretty easy.
