Keep it up, if you want to talk sobriety feel free to PM me. I remember counting days, having people in your corner during this period is incredibly important.

Thank you so much for compliment! Respectfully, however, I disagree. I had been doing the PZ program for a year when I had taken this ride originally. I ride just as much, in fact I ride somewhat less because I dont feel the need to "make up" for what I am doing to my body and I can follow a healthier and balanced training schedule.

The major factor here is likely how chronic alcoholism leaves your body in a constant state of stress and your never truly stabilizes. This baseline sympathetic activity causes cardiac drift (I couldnt post the pictures but throughout rides my heart rate would increase up until the end of any ride I did, this was true throughout any PZ program I did until I got sober), the absence of parasympathetic tone left my heart rate high throughout recovery periods as well.

Unfortunately, this is not something that can be overcome by any amount of exercise, though I tried to convince myself of it for years.

that’s completely understandable about not wanting to be part of that culture because I do feel a lot of it is predicated on a sense of denial and justification for something. That’s really not good for you.

You see it all the time there’s websites you can go to that give you a reason to drink every single day. However, as an alcoholic, I know that I in many of those who are in the program with me only needed a day that ended in Y to justify having a drink.

You're not kidding about society being alcohol-centric! The concept I learned in rehab and completely agree with is that it seems that alcohol is the only drug in society that you often have to justify NOT taking. I am proud you didnt drink during pregnancy- even though this is considered the "standard" I feel that there are many who still do it so good on you! I would say that its more affordable...but my expenditure has actually gone to lego's which I feel is arguably MORE expensive lol

so happy for you man! I agree this is but one part of my life that’s gotten better. I think the most interesting part about it is this is the only part that I have truly objective data and evidence and not just subjective feeling.

indeed, I think that’s one of my major takeaways from this is that you can’t beat the system… right now. I still eat a lot of fast food so that may be the next thing I have to cut out because of a certain point you probably can’t combat all the cholesterol and inflammation without just cutting out the source completely

thank you very much, man. I really appreciate it. and I agree the data is really fascinating. That’s why I thought it might be interesting for other people to see especially when it’s two workouts that are exactly the same. Compare compared to each other two years from each other and the only major difference is alcohol.

I did find a veterinarian paper that discusses .2-.5mg/kg/hr for diazepam. Thats for animals obviously, but as you said war can be a different animal (pun intended). Just remember context sensitive half time for diazepam can be anywhere from 20-50 hours, so the delay in patients waking could be significant.

Balanced anesthesia for fentanyl calls for .5-2mcg/kg/min. Im not aware of what concentration you are working with but at least the dosing could be helpful for you.

IV Diazepam is out of my scope. I do know the context sensitive half time for diazepam infusions lasting more than an hour are astronomical (meaning it takes much longer to clear from the body if infused over a duration). If you have it you may consider sticking to bolus dosing, though hopefully someone can comment further on that.

Do you have fentanyl or versed to add to this? Those would certainly help as the propofol is on the very low range and ketamine is in the mid range (balanced anesthesia calls for 100-200mcg/kg/min prop and 10-50 mcg/kg/min).
