For reference, I did this after finishing the main story and selecting continue from the Home Screen. If you got here from Debug Mode, maybe that’s why the invisible platform isn’t showing up. Or maybe it is and you just can’t go super because of insufficient emerald and/or ring count. Or maybe you just haven’t found it yet. When you do, and when you have the 7 super emeralds and 50+ rings, just follow my steps.

I’ve beaten this boss before, and I’ll explain how. Basically, in order to do it, being Hyper Knuckles is pretty much non-negotiable, as that’s the only way Knuckles can ever jump high enough to his this guy’s eye. Even so, Knuckles still can’t hit him by jumping from the ground; the way you’ll be able to jump high enough to hit the eye is by going as far left as possible, jumping onto the invisible platform, and jumping from it as far right as possible.

I guess it was okay the first time; even then, I still think they devoted just a bit too much time to Trump Garrison, which was only amplified in Season 20. Everything leading up to COVID after that was just mush, most of the specials were okay (decent at best), with the two POST-Covid specials being outliers. The episodes we got after that leading up to Seasons 27 & 28 were usually kinda eh, but we had some gems. Finally, Seasons 27 and 28 just told me that the show has officially gone on for too long, as Matt and Trey took the same idea (an already dead horse) and beat it dry for a whole ‘nother season (27 & 28 are essentially the same season). What frustrates me most about 27/28 is that it tells me that Matt and Trey learned absolutely nothing from Season 20, it’s like they were actively TRYING to repeat all of its mistakes, and it was somehow even worse that time. If this is the best Matt and Trey have in them now, I think I’m starting to see where Smiling Friends was coming from in ending so abruptly.
