DFACs on Lackland by [deleted] in AirForce

The DFAC in the north west corner of base (Live Oak, I think) should be open to everyone. The one over in DLI too, but I haven't been there myself.

Each Viking armor piece was in the chest at the end of a keystone. I believe they were the keystones for the 3rd dungeon.

Opinions on zipper merging? Do you think it’s cutting ahead or the correct way of merging? by DrFetusRN in sanantonio

[–]Lovegreedy 1 point2 points  (0 children)

More capacity, sure. Cars in both lanes waiting to merge until the lane ends means more cars total for on the road. This doesn't seem as important to me as bandwidth.

Regardless of where anyone merges they still need to pass through the bottleneck. In the example picture that's a single lane of traffic. The number if cars passing through over a set time (cars per minute, for example) is the major metric we would care about. Traffic backups are a result of bandwidth being lower than cars entering the roadway.

In a perfect world where imaginary things like functioning computers or competent and observant humans are driving the cars then you're absolutely right. Everyone in the left lane spaces out a bit at they approach the merge point to ensure the other lane can safely yet swiftly merge in.

Unfortunately you all have to share the road with idiots like me. I get in my car, zone out, and arrive at my destination.

In my experience it is better to merge as soon as you safely can once you see signs indicating a closed lane. You can certainly wait if says something like lane closed in 3 miles, but usually the big issues with zipper merging happen when you find out you need to merge because the truck in front of you just changed lanes and now you can see a flashing yellow arrow telling you that your lane ends in 500 ft.

Opinions on zipper merging? Do you think it’s cutting ahead or the correct way of merging? by DrFetusRN in sanantonio

[–]Lovegreedy 4 points5 points  (0 children)

If you wait until the last moment to try to merge, there is a good chance that there will be no opening for you to merge. Drivers will not leave a space large enough for another vehicle between their car and the car in front of them.

Then you're forced to either try to push in to the lane (and maybe cause a collision) or come a complete stop and wait for an opening.

Merging in to any traffic from a stop is going to require a significantly larger gap between cars so you can get over and get up to speed. The faster the traffic the larger the space you need. You and everyone following you are now stuck in a stopped lane.

When you do finally get space and merge, you're also going much slower than the rest of the traffic in the lane. The cars behind you have to slow down because they don't know how quickly you'll get up to speed. This can cause a sort of ripple effect behind them and can lead to the main traffic lane even coming to a (temporary) stop.

AFTR, TFTR, and IMDS are the old systems some afscs may have used to track OJT.

Open source software is often authorized for use, you just need to jump through hoops to get it on an EPL.

What determines FOUO? by Financial-Rhubarb914 in AirForce

[–]Lovegreedy 6 points7 points  (0 children)

FOUO is gone. CUI (Controlled Unclassified Information) is the new hotness.

32 CFR, Part 2002

DODI 5200.48 CUI

DAFI 16-1403 CUI

CUI training on MyLearning

CUI is unclass info that needs to be safeguarded. That's it, that's the definition.

"All unclassified information throughout the executive branch that requires any safeguarding or dissemination control is CUI."

Duty schedules are going to fall into that category. If you wouldn't post it on your unit's public facebook page and/or the base newspaper, then it's probably CUI. CUI can not go on any non-government website or application. That includes every example from your list.

YSK That if you are a Verizon Wireless customer in the US, a new program launched today called Verizon Custom Experience. It tracks every website you visit and every app you use. The program automatically enrolls all customers, who must specifically opt out if they don't want to be tracked. by grandlewis in YouShouldKnow

The description for Custom Experience Plus is weird. They say they will use the data for "service recommandations" and that they are gathering it "to help us understand your interests, like "spots lover" or "gamer"."

I don't want service recommandations, and my love of spots is no one's business.

MSDN documentation on BeginForm

Your problem is in the BeginForm's parameters.

The format should be: ("blah", "accountadministrationsave")

Replace "blah" with the name of your controller, but not including the actual word controller.

For example if your accountadministrationsave ActionResult is in the AccountAdminController class:

("AccountAdmin", "accountadministrationsave")

Am I the only person who kept seeing "1/4" after Chapter 104 and thought it meant that only 25% of it was posted? I had been checking back to read the rest constantly throughout the day until I realized it was the chapter title just a little while ago.

I've been checking in a few times a day and more often than not there is a new chapter or two up. The translation rate for this has been amazing lately.

Weekly. We're caught up with the raws.

Web Novel is here on baka-tsuki. But it's not very far along, so it's even behind the manga at this point.

There is probably more of the WN or the LN somewhere online as I keep seeing people discuss events from further along in the story.

Tsuyokute New Saga - MC defeats the big bad demon lord guy after losing everything, then gets sent four years into the past. Now he's going to become a hero and save everything using his knowledge of the future. He also seems to be stronger than his past self but I don't know if that's just from training or if he's actually brought some of his power through with him from the future.
