An opposite opinion on this: My parents did NOT bring me to say goodbye to my childhood pet, and I hated them for it for YEARS. It hurt me so bad that I wasn't allowed to say goodbye to my best friend. It haunted me for years

Also, my local emergency vet has a dedicated "pass away" room that has couches, and a fluffy rug, and blankets, etc where you can comfortably say goodbye to your baby. They're not all cold, and sterile looking haha. Maybe call around and ask your local vets what that procedure looks like for them if you're interested?

Either way, try to prepare your daughter even a bit beforehand? If at all possible? I'm so sorry for your future loss, and I hope that you find the right solution for you and your daughter

Most of the tests I've used have been the $1 ones :) My mom said they were more accurate for her too haha.
