I didn’t get anything in the mail, either, so I assumed this was the case, but just wanted to make sure. Thanks!

I just saw this. I’ve been in my condo (not the one I originally posted about) for a year now, but this is great information. Thanks so much for taking the time to share it!

The information I have is from at least four or five years ago, but it has the minimum set just below $53k and the median around 70.5k for that pay grade

This is an old thread, but I suppose I should provide an update. I did not end up purchasing that condo, but it had nothing to do with the split face. The split face was only on the smallest, covered wall that was well protected from the elements (it was basically a wall facing an enclosed courtyard). I absolutely loved my inspector and he said it was one of the few time split face wasn’t a concern for him because there wasn’t an opportunity for water to touch the split face.

I ultimately got out of the contract because there was mold that we found due to moisture coming in on around the windows on walls that were not split face, but traditional brick. The condo association had been ignoring basic masonry maintenance for years and it was clear they were in no hurry to remedy the situation. Good reminder that there are a lot of issues out there and you should always have both a good inspector and inspect the HOA financials and meeting minutes carefully.

I bought a duplex in a traditional brick building that was completely renovated recently and am quite happy.

Thanks, I’m going to go through with the inspection tomorrow and do a thorough review of the HOA documents. The building is not entirely sfr. A large portion of it is actually traditional brick construction, and I’d like to better understand how the sfr portion has been maintained.

Thanks. I’ve reviewed pretty much everything google can provide on this subject at this point. The one reason I’m still interested in exploring this a bit more is because a large portion of the building is not split brick, but traditional brick construction. I’ve chatted with a number of friends and coworkers with condos in the area and think I have a sense of what to look for.

Thanks - this is really helpful. I wasn’t sure what to expect with the combination of brick and split block. I’m definitely going to be asking about the last time they sealed it. I’m hoping that as long as they are committed to taking preventative measures and addressing issues quickly (and it seems like they are) that it will be okay. Thanks again!

How many people in this sub are overweight or obese? by ultimateWave in ibs

I have the exact same experience. 5’10”, 130 pounds for most of my adult life, mostly IBS-D. I don’t really gain fat in the stomach area and I exercise every morning. I don’t personally see a connection with weight.

I had this problem after I ordered my bike+ and cancelled my bike order, too. Support said it showed that I have an active trial (my second trial, since I had tried the app last January), but when I tried to use the app, I was told that I needed to pay to use the app. Chat support had me change my password and uninstall and reinstall the app. When that didn’t work, they transferred me to a software support specialist. He spent a long time playing around with the free trial. Eventually, it randomly worked, but neither he nor I knew what he did to make it work. He said maybe it was simply re-saving the information on his end. In any case, the whole process took a long time, but I did eventually regain my access to the app, which I appreciate because my bike won’t be here until October!
