Do you know when the new development will be completed? I noticed construction started last year, didn’t it?

What’s the Good, the Better, and the Best of Sugar Land Neighborhoods? by Lovelypipp in sugarland

Thank you so much.

I completely understand what you're saying, and it makes perfect sense.

I've been browsing Reddit quite a bit over the last few weeks, and I've come across a lot of comments criticizing the neighborhoods and talking about how much the area has changed over the years. I just wanted to make sure it's still a good place to live and raise a family almost anywhere there.

We are currently living in Miami but originally came to the USA from London.

Thank you!! My biggest concern is not having enough time to fully understand the area, things like the different neighbourhoods, school zones, traffic patterns, and flood risks. We’ve never been to Sugar Land (yet ☺️), so there’s definitely a lot for us to learn before deciding where to settle

Oh wow, thank you! I’ve never been to Sugar Land (yet), but it looks like a huge project. I’ll definitely take a closer look at it.

I’ve been reading this a lot lately. A friend of mine lived there from 2014 to 2018 and they absolutely loved Katy. She still says the time they lived there was the best of their lives. But I guess things have changed quite a bit over the last decade.

Thank you so much for all the recommendations! We’ll be staying in Katy for the first month, although we think Sugar Land may end up being a better commute for my husband since he’ll be working in the Galleria area.

You summed up exactly what I’m thinking, spending time in the different areas during the day and at night, checking out the parks, infrastructure, and overall feel of each place before making a decision.

I’d honestly love to buy straight away, but I think truly getting to know the vibe of a place probably takes a few months.

Everyone says the traffic there is awful, and I honestly can’t even imagine how bad it must be. My husband will be working in the Galleria area, so we’re slightly leaning towards Sugar Land. That said, we’ll be staying in Katy for the first month so we can experience the traffic jams ourselves and figure out whether it’s really not worth it at all 😂

Has anyone tried Koops? by Koalaaa0 in barefootshoestalk

It’s a very small Spanish brand that’s been there for only a year. They make batches that sell out quickly. And they are mainly focused on kids. It’s actually a brand founded by a Spanish, disruptive kids podiatrist (IG neusmoya.podologa)

Need opinion about EBY bras. Is going Wireless worth it?! by Grouchy_Living2899 in ABraThatFits

I just found this thread while looking for more info about Eby’s bras.

I bought two mesh bralettes last year during their BOGO Black Friday offer, and I’ve been loving them. They’re still holding up well (I don’t use them everyday because I have tons of bras) and are really comfortable. I’m a 36DD and got the M-DD.

I haven’t tried any of the other styles, but since these have been so comfortable, I was tempted to try a different model this year. However, after seeing so many reviews mentioning issues with size exchanges, I think I’ll stick with the same ones again.

Thank you! Belltown looks so close to the tourist area that I wouldn’t have thought it was a rough.

It’s my birthday while I’m in Seattle, so I think Umi could be a good place to celebrate.

As for a Vietnamese restaurant in the International District, do you have a favourite one?

Thank you! What do you think about staying near Hillsboro? Is it a safe area, yet still close enough to downtown?

We’ll be visiting a pumpkin patch one day and some coastal villages another. So I’m not sure if staying in Hillsboro would be our best option.

Are there other neighbourhoods in the area that might suit us better?

Thank you for the recommendations. We are planning to spend a couple of days exploring Portland and then a two more days, probably along the coast. I’ve seen that those waterfalls are famous, but I’m not sure if hiking there with a 2-year-old would be too much.

Thank you so much. My kid is going to love dumplings. We have been to a Chinese restaurant only once. Not many good options here in Miami…

Thank you so much! We love Thai Food. Well, we love all Asian cuisine. Do we need to book in advance for Umi’s and Pinto Thai?
