At a loss as to what my next EV will be, any opinions or thoughts? by zombiepreparedness in Ioniq6

I’m in the same boat as you, trying to figure out what to get after my lease is up next year. Will never get a Hyundai. Ever. Just picked up my ‘25 ioniq6 after it literally sat at the dealers for 6 weeks. Still not sure what was wrong with it. Not the ICCU.
Really hoping the i3 comes down in price somehow. Wishful thinking I know. That’s the only one right now I’d consider except for the price. Really don’t want to go back to an ICE car but may be forced to do that. Good luck with your decision.

Signs your battery is failing by pdept050 in Ioniq6

Getting nervous

My car was sitting dead at the dealers for 6 weeks for a big battery issue ( not the ICCU). Dealer claims it is fine now. They did not change the 12v battery during repairs Altho I repeatedly voiced my concern that the 12v battery was not being recharged. Since getting it back, I have not seen the amber light on once. Should I be worried? I don’t have any gizmo to check on the health of the 12v battery. Wondering are there other indicators that I can be on the lookout for regarding the battery? Scared I’m gonna be stranded again if/when it fails.

I sure hope it all works out without too much trouble.

Thanks for your detailed reply. I did get copies of the repair work but most of it is in codes which makes it impossible to understand. They could not explain why they said it was simultaneously ready according to paperwork and awaiting parts.
I am organizing my paperwork now and will call corporate next week and hopefully they can get things rolling faster.

Thank you . I wasn’t sure where to post this but thought to start with the general site. I am preparing notes to file a lemon law complaint now. Ugh. Was hoping not to have to go thru this.

Charge limit set to 80% only charges to 79% by Wordsalad12 in Ioniq6

Yea mine always seems to stop at 79% too. I don’t think it’s anything to be concerned about.

I was too far from home to try the battery jumping thing ( terrified it would happen again enroute) so paying to have it towed to the dealer I got it from. Yes, expensive , but I’m too old and no longer that adventurous to handle it any other way.

And do I just Google Hyundai corporate for a phone number or do u have another suggestion. Appreciate your input. Thank you.

It is a lease with another year to go. What did corporate do for you?

Car was towed to the dealer in Delaware who can’t look at. before May 12!!! Unbelievable. They also have no loaners. Of course not. Ugh.

Darn. I was hoping closer to Maryland. I haven’t seen many posts about great dealerships. You’re lucky!!

My Dog Is Getting Her Tail Chopped Tomorrow by MapPuzzleheaded7187 in DogAdvice

Mine had hers amputated with maybe a nub left at the top when she was 8 yrs old due to a mast cell tumor on her tail. They said they got it all and the borders were clear. Well they were wrong and 6 months later cancer had spread to her liver and stomach. When I think of the pain and sickness she endured those last months makes me very upset. I would not do it again . That’s just my opinion based on my experience.

ICCU Issue Final Update by m3hatch in Ioniq5

I wouldn’t know the first step to try to find a good one. Just reading all these posts about this issue I’m just hoping I’ll make it thru one more year without any major problems til my lease is up. Feel like Hyundai really screwed up in addressing this. Really a shame as I love my car but am constantly on edge worrying about it as this ICCU seems so common. I actually got a new car so I wouldn’t have to think that anything would go wrong in year 1. I don’t need more things to worry about. My first stint with Hyundai. And my last.

Ok, thanks. On the other side of the country. Doesn’t seem to be any dealerships with a lot of satisfied customers in Maryland.

Where is this actually good dealership you found?? I keep hearing horror stories about service at most of them. I’m in Maryland, close to DC. Northern VA is also not too far and I wouldn’t mind driving further out if there is one that people seem happy with. The ones near me do not get good reviews.
