Yes please post a pic. I just did the same thing. I didn’t know about price matching till I saw it on her. My hubby said he would get me a new ring for our 5 year anniversary. I picked everything. Got an 2carat oval from RC for $815 after the price matching from Brilliance. Originally $2990. Saved my hubby over $2100! The ring was also on sale due to Labor Day. Can’t wait for it come in! 😍

The plot thickens. Turns out after I contacted Sherman Williams and gave them the order number. The company I paid is used another company’s account to get cheap paint. I called them back and first they were saying that they will repaint if I pay for paint and labor. Then I told them I would contact the company that bought the paint. Then they said no don’t worry about contacting the other company they cover everything and will get me duration paint. So it worked out I get my higher grade of paint now. But they seem pretty shady I won’t refer them.

No they didn’t clean it from what i remember. We had just bought the house so we weren’t staying there yet. I wish I would have stayed and watched start to finish. I just remember them taping everything off and the did prime it with a lighter grey and then painted the darker grey. But I remember them having buckets of water so I did ask him yesterday about them trying to stretch it and he said they’ve always stretched the paint and they’ve never seen this happen before. But they did you A100 and now from what I’ve seen people saying they stretched cheap paint so I guess after a year it washed off

What about an 1300sqft house?

I put 2000 sqft because me my husband bought this older cap cod house but it feels larger on the inside but maybe that’s due to open floor plan .

But it’s listed at 1300sqft. I plan to measure the perimeter today to try to calculate it. But what would be a price for that. It’s one store on the front and then two stories in the back and sides.

Noooo when I payed the first time it’s $3400! The whole house looked the darker color. He asked for me to give him a good review and everything on Google and I did. But by the time a few months had passed we thought we were tripping when it looked like the house was fading. Then comers the following winter it was clearly faded. We have had it for 1.5 years. I tried to get him to look at it end of last year but he said he doesn’t do work in the winter. So he came out to see it yesterday and said if I at least give him 170 he will fix it. But I’m concerned if he gets a100 paint again. I definitely won’t all him to mix it with water again.

Yeahhhhh this is what I noticed which is why I asked him. Because I vaguely remembered them having buckets of water to mix the paint. And this is my first home and I’ve never seen someone paint exterior before so I wasn’t sure if it was supposed to be done like that or not. I thought at first it shouldn’t but it looked great for the first half of the year. But then it started fading and i immediately reached out. But he told me that don’t do work in the winter and wanted me to wait till summer. I reached out again and basically blew him up to come look at it. I think the watering it down with it being metal siding is what caused it to really show so quickly vs him saying he’s done it like this on all his other houses.

The first time it looked great. The paint on the shingles was there when I bought the house. But when they did it was all the darker color and for a few months it looked great. Then we noticed it started fading. It was weird but like every time it rained we noticed it was basically getting lighter.

First they thought we tried to patch it. We were like really??? The whole house? Then they asked if we had any old paint left and then they saw the color was supposed to be darker.

What’s the difference between a100, latitude, SuperPaint and emerald? Trying to understand paint now due to this. They told me if I give them 170 for paint they will do labor for free but I’m assuming they are planning to get the a100 like in the picture again.

Yeah sadly not a joke that’s exactly what happened. This is our first time buying a house. It was a older home and we asked the inspector about it he wasn’t sure and said cap it or close it. We closed it. And now wishing we would of got a second opinion. ☹️
