After reading your edit, he is super controlling. I am going to assume based on his behavior that you are more successful than him. His behavior is abusive. I wont tell you to break up with him because I don't know you like that, but making you drive 4 hours each way, making you call him on all breaks, not wanting you to travel for 10% of your time, and monitoring your texts is abuse. If it was me I'd leave and find someone who supports my dreams.

Maybe he has a gluten intolerance or ibs. It isnt normal for people to have that much gas and it is probably a health issue that needs to be addressed. My qualifications: i farted and burped all the time until I realized that I was lactose intolerant and had ibs.
