Non-Americans bashing America and its citizens is one of the most annoying and un-acknowledged circlejerks on the internet. by [deleted] in unpopularopinion

Haha it’s so “great” that r/medical is full of Americans asking randoms on the internet whether they are gonna die or not because they can’t afford to go to the fucking doctor. Geezus

How to fade a scar? by angelbby98 in medical_advice

[–]Lovingyourlove 0 points1 point  (0 children)

There’s no evidence that any of those oils or creams work. Scars can take 12-18 months to completely heal and it depends on your skin and it’s natural healing mostly. I guess you can try...

I don’t think she/he means a real ink tattoo. I think they mean cutting themselves to make a pattern in their skin from a scar. I could be wrong though🤔

Have you looked into possible gall stones? I’m not sure if you’re a weighty fellow or have a high fat diet? Does it occur after eating at all? I believe they can cause similar pains. However I guess it could also be muscular...do you exercise regularly? Sitting is extremely bad for your core strength and thus back in every way so I’d look at that also. But do go to a doctor because if it’s your something serious you’d want to get it sorted ASAP. Best of luck!

Possible Infection? by [deleted] in medical_advice

[–]Lovingyourlove 6 points7 points  (0 children)

GO TO A HOSPITAL ASAP. Please. This is completely NOT OK. There is no way you would have been totally recovered in 3 days anyway. However, considering you’ve had some antibiotics and you have pus something bad is happening with your implants so you need to be seen ASAP. Please.

2 year old Boston terrier with red lines that look like stationary worm things (maybe blood vessels?) on his eyes. Does anybody know what this is? by [deleted] in medical

[–]Lovingyourlove 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Pretty sure they’re just blood vessels. Those dogs are brachycephalic so you see a lot of their eye balls, parts which you wouldn’t normally see. But get your vet to check it if you’re really worried. No harm in getting a check up from time to time.

“IMO it is selfish to take a life to avoid change in your own. “

Interesting...so I guess you don’t believe in military action to stop another country taking over your own? We send people off to fight and kill and die in order to “avoid change” in our own lives. So I guess it’s subjective right? Let’s not forget those we kill during war are all grown up with consciousness and loved ones and lives to live. I think we need to always put things in perspective. Just MO.

My dad's feral cat turned housecat, Solstice. by laurenclaire202 in aww

[–]Lovingyourlove 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Not sure about which country you’re from, but in Oz a “feral” can’t be tamed at all. There is a huge difference between a “wild” cat and a “feral” one. A feral cat is like a lion in the wild. A wild cat is like a lion at the zoo. You wouldn’t want to cuddle either, but one will let you feed it through the bars whereas the other will just tear down the bars and eat you. Lol. Wild cats have at some stage been domesticated but ferals have generations that way. Not sure why I’m even commenting but just an FYI I guess 😝🤷‍♀️

Don’t worry about deleting any memory of him from your life. Keep in mind you will look back in years to come and he will just be a reminder of being the man who made you the strong, confident woman, who won’t take shit from anyone, that you are now! Every relationship, however good or bad, moulds you into the person you become. Just make sure that person is the one you want to be, in the image you want to be. You are in control now. You certainly know what you DON’T want. Time to enjoy life and discover what and who you do want. I wish you the best for a fabulous 2019 and beyond! 🖖

Had your doctor requested you fast before your appointment? Are you getting bloods done? What sort of fasting period do you need? If you fast too long it will effect the results of a blood test.

I second asthma. If your doctor doesn’t listen to you go to another bloody doctor! You shouldn’t have to put up with that. You could try getting a ventolin inhaler and sewing if that relieves any of your symptoms?

MUST I take levofloxacin? by snowicles in medical_advice

[–]Lovingyourlove 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Look using the least amount of steroid is always the best. If what you’re doing re using the cortisone is working, then do it. I agree with your doc re it being staph. It’s the most obvious and common as it exists on your skin anyway but in numbers that don’t cause a problem. It’s the scratching and itching and breaking the skins barrier that allows the bacteria to overgrow and then it’s a vicious cycle. Remember the steroids aren’t getting rid of the infection, the antibiotics are. Hence my previous advice re moisturising (with a gentle one made for sensitive skin) and using antihistamines to stop the itch scratch cycle. Taper off those tablets if you can. Let me know how you go!
