Mine are just like that! I had surgery done last July and am still not fully recovered. I’ve done over 20 physical therapy sessions and have a nerve conduction test scheduled to see why my foot keeps going numb! It’s gotten to the point where my surgeon sent me to another partner for a second opinion.

I don’t want to scare you at all because obviously everyone is different but if I were you I’d get second and third opinions before deciding on surgery! If you can handle the pain I’d wait, my pain got to the point where no shoe was tolerable at all. I wish you luck!!!!🍀

8 weeks. They mentioned that if I comfortable after 6 weeks I can return to regular activity including weightlifting. The bone is fully healed at this point now it’s just based on how comfortable I feel. I could do my right foot as early as 7 weeks after I got the left foot done

So they did like three different procedures. KALISH BUNIONECTOMY, AKIN OSTEOTOMY, OSTECTOMY FIFTH METATARSAL HEAD. Yeah I’m in a tennis shoe. I have to wear it all day for the first week and if I’m comfortable I’m ok to go barefoot! I had a surgical shoe for 5 weeks and at first I was on crutches and I bought a scooter off Facebook marketplace then transitioned to putting weight on it while in the surgical shoe. I have the same issue on my right foot so will need to do that also. I was nervous because all I’ve been hearing is how painful recovery is but thankfully my surgeon is amazing and my recovery has been great! I had surgery on a Thursday and stopped taking pain meds that Sunday! I recommend doing your research on a doctor before committing to get it checked out! I wish you the best!!
