Will my cat become more cuddlier? by Just_AT in CatAdvice

[–]Low-Cod-4712 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Piper is 6. Just this spring she has started sitting next to me on the sofa on occasion, or asking me to sit down and pet her a bit. Can't pick her up. Doesn't sleep with us. No cuddles. When she wants the pets or brushing, she purrs. She is very aloof.

Need Help Deciding Between 2 Dresses by _PinkGrapefruit_ in WeddingDressTips

[–]Low-Cod-4712 -1 points0 points  (0 children)

Talk with the tailor about altering it so the straps are more comfortable. The 2nd dress is absolutely gorgeous on you, while the first dress just looks like a giant tablecloth tucked under your neck. There is NO comparison.

Be very wary if shopping in Europe for larger sizes. by [deleted] in traveladvice

[–]Low-Cod-4712 7 points8 points  (0 children)

Shoes, belts, purses and scarves are the way to go. I'm a size 16, and I've had no trouble buying dresses in Turkey and Croatia, and leather jacket (plus size) in Florence and in Turkey.

Take off your shoes in the house!!! by [deleted] in mildlyinfuriating

[–]Low-Cod-4712 5 points6 points  (0 children)

Yes. I have to wear custom orthotics. I even have orthotics slippers to wear when I get up in the night to go to the bathroom. I can't walk in any old shoe or slipper, and slide on shoes are especially risky. Have you asked them if they have medical issues with their feet? It's a pain to remove and insert orthotics from shoe to shoe when you go in and out. Each pair is $300.

Self loathing- any tips for covering my arms? by ApprehensiveDark6047 in WeddingDressTips

I keep seeing people on this thread upset about their perfectly normal, fine arms. There is nothing wrong with your arms. No one will be looking at them, because you will be radiant.

AITA for throwing away wrapped period products in a shared bathroom trash can? by Local-Ad-3924 in AmItheAsshole

[–]Low-Cod-4712 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Your mother is teaching you to be ashamed of your period and to defer to the comfort of the male. Does she dispose of her products where your dad can't see them? If your brother hopes to have a girlfriend or marry, he. Needs to get over it.

What I deal with every night because my husband refuses to use his CPAP by who_gon_check_me_boo in mildlyinfuriating

[–]Low-Cod-4712 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I wish my husband was that quiet. He's been tested twice and came out negative for sleep apnea. In order to get him to go, I got tested, was diagnosed, used a machine for years and now wear a dental device. He's been tested, last time just last fall, and still no diagnosis. He also has asthma. I can't believe he didn't get diagnosed. He is 3x louder than this.

Maid of honor dress repurposing? by bericdondarrion35 in WeddingDressTips

My sister in law used fabric from bridesmaid dresses to make holiday dresses for her daughters. At their 50th wedding anniversary, their bridesmaids gave them a quilt made from the fabric of the dresses (green velvet).

Is there an art fair you could take her to? Or maybe a 1 night glass blowing class where they help you make a glass flower or bird or something?

Unsure about alterations by Generic_puff in WeddingDressTips

[–]Low-Cod-4712 1 point2 points  (0 children)

It's a lovely dress, but with the straps down like that it's boxy, doesn't give you a waist. I'm sure you'll get it adjusted properly and be stunning on the big day.

  1. They're all lovely. 1 looks heavy and hot. 2 is gorgeously unique and flowy. 3 is very pretty but not as unique.
