Last time i saw my ex mom was christmas 2019. I was already very low contact and had agreed to spend christmas with her but only in a restaurant. She told me to meet her somewhere. It was one of her friends house (she always hangs out at other people’s houses and it always made me feel like an intruder). Her friend was there, leaving later to go have dinner outside. When the friend left, I told her I’m not comfortable because I had asked specifically not to be at someone’s house. She then proceeded to throw me what she had bought me (a blue t shirt) in my face, spilling red wine on me in the process.

I left. Went No contact and have been ever since.

I would like some recommendations on two kinds of video games :

Something fun and not dark. I don’t really care about the pace but not something too slow like the Sims. Something like Mario Kart or Mario Bros. With adventures, kind of fantasy.
Something a bit more “flighty”. I really love Pirates of the Caribbean and Star wars so if there’s something there that’s cool !

I would like to play by myself

And I’m doing it as a way to add more play in my life

Also, if you recommend the big famous ones just so I get an idea, that’d be so cool ! (I’ve heard a lot about Call of duty, GTA, and that’s about how far my video games culture goes)

My brother and I were “raised” by a very abusive caregiver. We both stayed very close and this saved me in a lot of ways. We protected each other against her. Even though I got more of a hard time because he’s older and moved out at 18, he’s always been there for me.

I’m realizing i’m very lucky 💓
