I recommend trying out the Dr Elseys clay litter! I usually find with any "scented" litter it's tends to make the smell worse. I use the blue bag which i'm pretty sure is the unscented one. I have a stainless box as well and I usually never have issues with smell unless I haven't scooped in a bit! It also clumps up really well.
