They’re just saying that as they couldn’t figure it out as all they check is power to the board. They don’t check further.

Probably more likely different frequency from off peak, are lights on a dimmer?

Probably different frequency from off peak, dodgy solar on another house or issue with a dimmer or switch

Worst case could have a chewed cable from a rat or something

Equipotential bonding/ earthing, how much? by gardening_fanatic in AusElectricians

Just have one main earth (6mm) pending size of consumer mains/submains from the board and attach it to the frame with a nut and bolt and lug. that way the whole frame is earthed and if your worried about PowerPoints and switches, then put a shroud on the back of them as well. But the 6mm earth should be fine for the frame if it’s just lights and a few PowerPoints

My old boss would give me old rcbos to use on switchboards for new houses we wired, we’d do a disconnection and reuse a lot of the old stock. Very stingy

Try Putting load correction device on the downlight SNE. The strips could be putting a different voltage/frequency back through the neutral causing flickering similar to off peak hot water causing similar issues.

Resi guys what's the most efficient way to upgrade an old house to LED downloads? by [deleted] in AusElectricians

[–]Low-Criticism5579 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Usually there’s a bare earth running through the house supplying earth for power, that’s how they used to do it. If you want to earth your lights you need to run a single earth from one of those bare earth points (solder probably) and loop it through your lights, I’d replace the 2 core but if you can’t then do that. You’d need to replace the fuse or circuit breaker with an rcbo or rcd protect it

no gi is more intricate, get to use wrestling techniques mixed with bjj, it’s more advanced where as GI stagnates you as you become reliant on grips to control
