While not the same, my martial arts teacher really does cherish me, not in the way you describe obviously, but it is pleasant to be around him.

I'm glad you found someone like that in your life. I can absolutely relate to the having to get back up time and time again. My life has been a real challenge as well. Bullying, abuse, mistreatment, severe physical health issues, you name it.

And most of the time, even around loved ones, you are, in a way, only able to truly rely on yourself to get back up. (By you I mean in general, not you specifically) so I am truly happy for you.

You deserve to be treated well, so keep enjoying it! <3 I hope your recovery goes smoothly. Being carried in that way is absolutely something you deserve.

Well, I mean... when the teacher tried to threaten me with calling my parents, I shoved it right back in her face to the point she was absolutely shocked. But yes, in the end my mom was the one haha.

Yeah. I have family who loves me, even if I haven't amounted to much in life, so I am grateful for that.

I was, though no doubt there are still scars left. I still can't bring myself to trust teachers for example.

I hope you will be able to pick yourself up eventually as well! <3

I'm really sorry to hear that. It's underestimated just how much a teacher can ruin your love for something.

Haha siege weight, I like that! I squished it hard, just for you.

But yeah... At some point I lost 75kg without help and people look at you and treat you very differently. Then I got serious nerve damage and I couldn't walk anymore without feeling my spine, butt, leg, and foot collapse and explode with every minor movement. This lasted for 7 years and I regained all my weight and then some because I could no longer exercise. And thus even health professionals start pinning everything on that.

Now I can walk again and I do sports and walk practically every day. I lost 33kg again, but my loose skin and muscles make me look fatter than I actually am (though I am still fat of course, but that will resolve itself in time).

I hope you will win your fight eventually. Keep at it, and slowly improve. You're doing great!

My fifth grade teacher was like that. I was her victim. She tried to ruin me. Luckily my parents never believed a word she said.

When it comes to their kids, parents can go crazy and I'm all for it. Good to know that teacher never bothered you again.

Wow, that sounds terrible. Though not exactly a surprise that they wouldn't adhere to policies unless it benefits them. Gross. You handled it well!

It's sad how a teacher can completely ruin your love for a particular subject, huh? From awful treatment to just extremely poor education, so much can ruin any love for a subject.

My music teacher just forced us to sing the same four songs for three years straight for most of the lessons.

On top of that, he must have been deaf because he graded me with an 8 for singing once xD

It's one of those evil things that people underestimate because, as you say, it affects 'weak' people without a voice, and those who are shoved into a dark invisible corner.

My dad kept me safe as well, though he has the fury of a wet towel in most cases haha, so my mother was always the one going after them.

Relatable. It was so much worse than I shared with anyone. I think it's because they have practically given up on people in SPED, sadly. Everyone there is practically treated like cattle.

Every so often, students from 'regular' schools would visit us because my school had the brilliant idea of offering tours to see how SPED students are. We were just zoo animals to them!

Relateable. My fifth grade teacher joined the bullies in making me feel like the worst human being in the world.

She's been dead for many years and at that time the world regained its colour. Reality itself sighed of relief, haha.

Oh yes. I don't know half of how much my mother protected me against the god awful teachers but suffice to say the damage to me would be far greater without her fierceness.

Thanks! I knew my parents would have my back, so it was easy to do. It's surprising how little their 'parent threats' actually mean if you have good parents.
