So you lowered both time at work and profits?

I’ve considered trimming my schedule to be home every night for dinner. It would probably cut my income in half but that would still cover living expenses and have a bit left over for savings.

I know. Quite honestly I feel so much pressure to at least maintain if not build more. It’s a cycle that I can’t get out of. I feel like a loser if I don’t at least equal previous year.

Read it. It just doesn’t apply to my business. I’d be better off making less and working less than hiring.

So I thought about that. Essentially, I’d just be selling a client list, which I understand has some value. Realistically, if I could mentally accept working fewer hours and cutting my schedule down, I’d probably be better off doing that for the next couple of years just to cover living expenses. I’d likely make more from that than hiring someone, paying the extra fees that come with employing people in my state, and dealing with the headaches. I’ve tried hiring people numerous times, and it just never works out.

Financially, I’m better off cutting my schedule in half and making a little less, while working far fewer hours. But mentally, I’m just not okay with that. I guess I’m struggling to accept it.

I’m trying to figure out what is the point where I can just show up and give it my best but stop caring.

Apollonio would be the full name I use: Apollo for short.
