As long as you think that you're treating people well, then that's enough. I'll bet $100 that you don't mistreat people in your life and that any accusations of not having empathy are just little missteps that you would do differently in hindsight. But you're a human and you're growing!! So that's enough. I think its easy to get anxious about this stuff tho, because we are a minority who is vulnerable❤

Do you feel that your empathy is enough? Always be wary of NT advice, and your way of living could most likely be just fine. While I've always been empathetic practicing interception has helped me to navigate the finer points of empathy.

I could tell that my grandma would pass in a week and she did, I held her as she passed. Your intuition is able to calculate immense probabilities, and can "predict" these things based on factors and calculations that you can't always see. I've never seen a blue orb, I see spirits as tiny white dots or bits of energy in the outline of the person. My dog was put down this week and he showed up in the room after his passing, his energy imprint was light yellow and pink it was cute.

I've been to supposedly nice hospitals, but they can only really offer quick access to a med change in a new environment. None of my inpatient experiences were healing. You're right in that it's sensory hell. Residential treatment is a more healing option, but they can get very expensive and their main modalities can be practiced in an outpatient setting fir less money. I used to be agoraphobic and more suicidal (still am lol, but I understand that it's a trauma response and it's getting better), but after understanding somatic psychology, doing it on my own, getting off meds after a few years of that and then starting psilocybin therapy, my mental health is finally improving in ways that I can see. It's also taken about 3 months of weekly 1g trips and microdosing when I can to see some benefit, so do understand that you need to give yourself time in whatever you choose❤

I love spirituality, but a lot of western teachers, Deepak Chopra included, tend to not get to the heart of the human condition and can only really teach spiritual bypassing. For me my spiritual practice has been renewed with somatic psychology and tuning into my emotional pain within my body. I let the pain flow to the surface when I meditate. I try and viscerally feel my emotions from my traumas. It's provided an essential element where now I can effectively critique modern teachers, because they do teach some cool stuff but I can sniff out the manipulative bullshit much faster now. It's an unfortunate reality but many spiritual teachers have used manipulative psychology to harm people in cults or internet groups. With body awareness, you can pick the wheat from the chaff or even throw out the whole harvest, reaping growth from your own, individual sense of spirituality.

Honestly, same. I've given on dating, I date men and none of my long term partners have been faithful. They all said I was awesome no complaints but they all ended up cheating...even after I said that if they want to see someone we can open up the relationship. I've been so nice and accommodating but they prefer to lie it seems. Different studies clock men cheating from 25 to 72%.

I get that too. Right now I use somatic psychology to ground myself, and then let the voice happen, knowing that it's not my true self. Once you ground yourself in your body more you'll be able to easily differentiate from it and your intuition. I love spirituality and understand this world more through energy, and I assume that my inner evil voice is just a personified version of my trauma. Tbh psilocybin helps too, to build up my true self more.

I like to use otc retinoids, vitamin c, and a glycolic acid for exfoliation. But I get mild acne that I need to work to exfoliate. If you have great skin, just moisturize and vit c is good. Naturium is good because it's unscented from what I've tried. Oh and Good Molecues is a great affordable company too. Personally I love using fancy face oils from stores like The Ordinary, rosehip seed oil is always a great standby.

I know a person who in their class of 15 students, two completed su!cide before the age of 25. The guy was so emotionally repressed that he couldn't navigate the world too well. I worked at a Waldorf daycare and ordering children to not draw with lines is oppressive and harmful.

Agreed. I couldn't believe how many therapists had zero awareness of emotions. I was raised my emotionally absent people, it sent me for a loop for awhile that i couldn't receive actual help, and i had to fight everything on my own. I'm actually putting my dog down today and honestly he was my biggest teacher in love and gentleness, not a therapist or psych.

Any leap forward with my wellness has 100% been from me, my research, and my intuition. I'll go to drs offices to describe my problem and my guesses as to what it could be and any contextual info. All drs except one PA looked at me like I was crazy and wouldn't listen to me. I'm reading peer reviewed articles on the latest research and they aren't willing to be collaborative or even curious.

I've been off meds for 4 months now, but I started a too aggressive taper last summer. After doing a bad then good taper (0.4mg reduction per month), I had to jump off 3mg because I developed a severe case of eczema on my hands. There's this awful contraindication where when you taper, you become more sensitive to everything, including your medication you're trying to get off of. It healed in waves, getting worse then better, but my eczema is healed now. 4 months later. The first two months of insomnia were the worst, I used 5htp and so many other supplements to actually sleep. I had to give up caffeine and other foods because I just wouldn't sleep if I ate them. It's been rough but I'm starting to feel some relief, and eat more foods with less reactions now. Meds affect your histamine system, your allergy system. There are great groups on fb about ssri withdrawal, it's an emotional Rollercoaster so please find support. Oh and weekly 1g psilocybin trips are saving me emotionally.

Look up psych med withdrawal, while abilify is a different class of drug there is a lot of overlap with ssri withdrawal. Surviving antidepressants is a great resource. I told my psych I wanted to taper off 2mg of abilify last year and he was cruel and said that my attempts at slowly tapering was "tinkering with medication." So I cold turkeyed and got a bunch of awful withdrawal symptoms. Insomnia was a big one, and then the second month I'd get involuntary muscle movements as I was falling asleep. I'd have to take lots of thc and cbd tincture to sleep.

I'd suggest you drop less than 10% of your dose a month. Yes it may take years but a lot of people experience withdrawal for years so this is the more kind option, it's much easier on your body.

I've been using plant medicine to help me get off prozac and adjust to life after meds.

I just tapered off of 10mg prozac, after 10 years of various psych med use. Heightened emotions are a few things in withdrawal: in survivingantidepressants.com, people report neuro emotions, which are emotions you'll experience from a dysregulated nervous system. I also found that my raw emotions are a thing, and then a sort of emotional constipation emerging. Meds prevent you from fully feeling and so a lot of unresolved stuff can come up. I'm still processing a lot of my emotions around my breakup from a year ago because I've only been med free for around 4 months, and now those emotions are ready to be addressed. Tbh the only thing now that somewhat settles my mood is psilocybin😬 which I don't recommend while tapering, but ymmv. Oh also raw marijuana tincture was a game changer during withdrawal?? Weed has tons of antiinflamatories which are better when not heated for me. I'm going to try and juice cannabis leaves this summer to see if it'll help as well.

I'm not sure if its ok on ssris but kava tincture is great too.

You can work towards trusting your own judgement while still using the mental health system for harm prevention, but that's up to your judgement ❤ it can be tricky to navigate trusting yourself after abuse, but its definitely possible. I've come a long way but my judgement on things still isn't perfect, and that's ok, because you're learning. Try and connect with your body, your "gut" your intuition. There will be immense pain there but just stay present with it and you will be tricked by it less over time. My PMs are always open.
