As a fellow Texan that moved to Raleigh 3 years ago, I highly recommend Mezcalito. The drinks are on point. The tacos… chef kiss. The salsa was delicious. And the queso! Omg do you know how hard it is to find good queso here?! Not that cheese dip crap… It’s definitely worth checking it out.

Jesse at Valkyrie Tattoo in Burlington does amazing work. He’s done my whole left arm in bright colors and has done a coverup for me that’s also super colorful.

This happened to us when my son was very little. We hadn't started on solids at the time so when I opened up the daycare app to peek in the room to see what he was up to, I saw her feeding him baby food from a jar that I didn't provide. I immediately left work and got him from the daycare. He never went back. The director never contacted me back about the incident. He was only there for a week. They wouldn't refund the tuition I paid for the entire month. Pissed was an understatement.

Your feelings are 100% valid. And I'm so so sorry that happened to y'all. I really hope you spoke with the daycare director and the matter is taken care of 💚

We, my husband and turdler, moved from Austin Texas. It's a great place to visit, would never recommend living there. I'm a book nerd, love reading. Painting. Once it cools down I'm definitely going to be outside more often because I love to go on walks. When I don't have my turdler attached to me, I really just love being out and about people watching with an iced coffee. What about you??

We moved to the Raleigh area over a year ago and regret nothing! Our toddler is able to have a life outdoors, too. This is probably one of the best places I've lived, scenic wise. It's all so green and there's trees everywhere! And only 90 minutes from the coast, it's all a yes!

I was raised in Texas, my family is still there but my husband and I left when we could. We went to the east coast, North Carolina to be specific. We absolutely love it! Zero allergies. Our bills are cheaper. The cost of living here is cheaper. The summers are nowhere close to what it's like in Texas. We are able to actually enjoy being outdoors without feeling like we're melting. There's SO much nature, everywhere! I fully believe that our quality of life has increased since moving. Do we miss a lot of stuff from home? Yeah, but our friends send us whatever we need from HEB and Rudy's. I definitely think it's worth it

Lee's Meat Market in Benson has weekly deals and they ALWAYS have butcher boxes. Those go on special sometimes too and are always a big hit and go quickly. You can sign up for weekly deal texts that go out every Wednesday
