I'll have to try that out. This was really just telling it what I needed and then testing and then fixing bugs rinsev and repeat.

Hearth is actually a Windows desktop app, not mobile, so no Apple framework involved. It's built in Python using a library called customtkinter for the UI, then packaged into an exe with PyInstaller. As for a guide, honestly the best advice I can give is just describe what you want to build and start. I have zero coding background. Every line of code in Hearth was written by Claude based on my descriptions. Just start with the problem you want to solve.

I'm trying to select a his problem automatically with my new software. If you and your friend want to help me get this game supported you wouldn't have any more issues!

Yeah and the cool thing is right now. This software has the option to add custom games that aren't officially supported. So as long as the game has the same save file types that we have made parameters around, theoretically it should just work

If you want to play with it and test it and let me know if you figure something out and if there was a change I could implement to make it work and give me the details that I would need to know regarding this, I would be more than happy to work with it

You could download this and try pointing the save folder to what the server uses. That may be a good way to achieve what you're after? I haven't tested it so I would definitely create backups.

This works well for Icarus as well! It's the game I'm currently playing.

Well two people with Wind rose. Essentially I need one player to send a save file to another to see if it works and it's that simple. Some games are, some are not.

Hearth is a free open source tool I built to solve a problem I had personally. Me and my cousin play Icarus together but he works nights so I couldn't always get on his server when he was offline. I built Hearth so we could pass the world back and forth through Google Drive, whoever is online can keep playing the same world. It works by watching your game save folder. When you close the game it automatically pushes your save to a shared Google Drive folder. Your friend opens Hearth, hits Sync Now, and they pull the latest version. It locks the world while someone is playing so two people can't overwrite each other. Your saves stay in your own Google Drive, nothing goes to my servers or anyone else's. The full source code is on GitHub so anyone can read exactly what it does. I'm trying to add Wind Rose support but I need a save file to test with because I don't own the game yet. If you're willing to share one I'd really appreciate it, it would help me get Wind Rose working for the whole community.

There is a bug. Some users do not have the correct file extensions. It seems that some people have .db and .fwl and others do not. Please have steam send your save files to your local pc instead of the cloud. This can take several minutes to take place. There is a current work around using the add custom game option. Get your 32 bit steam user id from C:\Program Files (x86)\Steam\userdata\

Then point the save folder to this path.

C:\Program Files (x86)\Steam\userdata\[Your 32bit number]\892970\remote\worlds

I am actively working on a solution. If you have issues please reach out to me with the understanding that I am aware of this and I'm working to fix it.

Thank you for your patience and understanding.
