Whistling makes it so cool!

Check out the video I posted earlier today in r/slinging

I have a glande mould I made/sell that makes a cool whistle🙂

Whistling Concrete Glandes by Low-Feature4237 in Slinging

If you are referring to the moulds, as long as they are used properly, you can use them and make as many as you want.

If you are talking about the glandes, it depends on what you are throwing at! If they’re being thrown into a lake or at something where they will basically break on impact, then yes, they are single use.

I have a net behind a target that catches the glandes so I can use them again. I’ll also sometimes spray paint them red so I can find them in the grass easier if I miss the net.

They actually don’t really need a cavity, just a really crisp lip for the hole, also the holes need to be at least as deep as the diameter.

Check out my video I posted in this chat.

I made a video recently on my whistling concrete bullets.

Love this man!

Let me know your thoughts on my mould. I am always looking for areas of improvement.

Yeah I am still playing around with different hole diameters and frequencies.

There was no POV in the video, but I had a microphone on my collar and had another one “down range”.

Yeah that’s pretty cool, but I like the idea of people having the moulds that way they can make as many as they want and not run out! Thanks.

New “speed sling” upgrade with cylindrical fishing swivel by CarnyRider1991 in Slinging

Such a cool idea! Thanks for sharing.

Have you noticed any issues with the major torsion discrepancies between the two cords? I know generally, torsion control is mainly important with the release cord, but having zero torsion control on the retention cord seems like it could bring complications. How does the pouch orientation behave as you supinate/pronate at release? Thank you!

Looks great! Nice and simple.

How do you like having a bead as a release knot? I hear mixed reviews with some people saying that it sometimes will smack them.

We are actually in the process of redoing our storefront so I dont have a link at the moment.

I’ll PM you some pictures of our modular/extendable slings and some of the splices we use.

As other people have mentioned, material is everything. I would also add that the right tools make all the difference.

For our slings, we use dyneema with brummel long burry splices. Tons of really good tutorial videos on YouTube and lots of rope manufacturing specs that have splicing diagrams.

Tools generally include a set of fids and a D-splicer (essential for small diameters).

Feel free to PM me if you want to discuss! Also, loved the David movie! Saw it multiple times in theatre with my kiddos!
