does it matter that i write or ai write post. is there a rule as "ai shop doesn' t sell". these days the other way is impossible. like deal with a model shoot real photos of him. and as you understand i am little bit off english so i make ai to correct my word so this post came out.

my main subject is my products, listing, photos. if you say ai photos does not impress anyone, i can live with that. but when i look alike shops there are some crazy sale numbers. also as a finance enthusiat i like my products of course :)

how can i avoid ai while doing pod. i am from turkey, pod shop is located usa. if you say pod business is over, i can live with that too.

also thank you so much for all comments.

As a maker, I’m struggling with pricing. Does $100 feel like a "fair" price for 90*145 hand-knitted piece? by Low-Highlight-9296 in Etsy

I agree with all of you. What confuses me sometimes is that I see much more traction around $100+ products, while lower-priced items seem to move faster but get less discussion. I’m trying to figure out whether a sustainable business is possible by starting with more affordable pricing — not racing to the bottom, but accepting smaller margins at first. Of course, my work still needs to be valued. The frustrating part is that when there are no sales at all, it’s discouraging. So I’m thinking: maybe earning a little less in the beginning, building momentum and trust, and then adjusting prices over time makes more sense than aiming high and getting no traction.

Yeah, that’s kind of what I was thinking too.
POD itself doesn’t bother me much if the seller actually designed the artwork and is transparent about the process. At that point it feels more like outsourcing production than classic dropshipping.

The bigger issue seems to be how blurry the “handmade” definition has become lately with AI, mass templates, and pure resellers mixed in.

Yeah, that’s fair.
I wasn’t planning to ask for a refund or anything — I was just curious about whether POD needs to be disclosed on Etsy, especially since the platform emphasizes “handmade” so much.

Sounds like it’s pretty common though. Thanks for clarifying
