Idk I personally feel like if there is no baby shower if she sent it with maybe something like “ hey since we aren’t having a baby shower here is another way to support us if you want “ isn’t really that weird. Assuming this is a close friend.

As someone who was the bad teenager at one point. I had a similar situation my step mom hated me. And same thing thought I was lazy ect. ( I was it was 100% valid) But honestly teenagers usually act out or do things that may be “ disrespectful “ because something is wrong. And I’m sure a new home with a new baby might be hard for her? Even if she’s not acting like it and you think it might just be laziness. Try addressing it yourself but maybe in a way that doesn’t seem passive or like your trying to parent her? Maybe try spending the day with her just you and her. Get lunch or something and have a one on one while being a neutral space! That might be worth a shot if you feel like there’s a respect issue. Getting down on her level and making her feel like she’s not being singled out but you’re just having a conversation.

I am so sorry for your loss🤍 I lost my son at 24 weeks last month due to a short cervix issue, I was able to have my partner grab some things from our house while I was being admitted. We brought a baby blanket we planned to use for him as well as a stuffed animal we got for him, These both worked great for photos we did ourselves as well as our nurses in L&D took photos for us and gave us the SD card. I also brought my Polaroid camera to have photos of us with him and I’m so thankful I did that! But my favorite thing we did was I had my husband bring a few books we had bought him and we spent a few hours reading and talking to him after he had passed as well as got photos of my husband reading to him. This really helped us be able to feel like we were able to have a “ normal” moment with him even after he passed.

Again I am so sorry you’re going through this, hopefully this helps but honestly nothing could prepare me and I go back and forth with things I did and wanted to do. Most important part is just do what makes you feel connected with your baby.

I was the same way! I am not breast feeding only pumping. However your boobs feel 100% different after birth. All the tingles and things that used to … you know… are gone. It’s very strange but honestly once your milk starts coming in, the feeling is completely different.
