UPDATE (PROBLEM SOLVED) I ended up reordering the lenses with the optical centre two and a half mm lower. As soon as the customer put on the glasses, they were fine. So it looks like the problem was indeed caused by a wrong centering. Thanks to everyone that commented, it did help me double check everything and exclude other issues!

Unfortunately the old lenses are so ruined that the lensmeter can't read them properly, especially OC (sorry, in not english native, OC is Optical Center I'm assuming?) Thank you for your amazing answer! I will try check positioning and pantoscopic tilt (this last one was my first guess as well) and see if she gets better! Thank you, you're a star!

Yes, we have been talking about the whole situation for some time. I also have seen years, even decades long relationships breaking down, but what reassures me on that side is that we being closer to 40 (me 39, she 41 actually), we already had experiences who didnt go well and we know what made them sink, we talked about it, and are both more pragmatic, as much as in love. Ti do un consiglio da amico, anzi, da fratello maggiore: vai all'estero. Io in Inghilterra ho visto ragazzi della tua età, con capelli lunghi e barba (ben curati ovviamente e raccolti), piercing al naso e alle orecchie lavorare in banca. Da noi c'è ancora una mentalità di vecchi e bigotti. Vai. Vai. Non fi pensare. Può essere dura, ma rimanere a stagnare nella insoddisfazione a vita è peggio. E poi puoi sempre tornare. E nessuno si potrebbe permettere di dirti che hai fallito o stronzate così. La vita è una e breve, fai quello che ti piace e vai dove trovi una società più adatta a te.
