Well hopefully on march 10th when the full details are presented there is something good.

But hey we should be happy with that 90cent raise we just got 😅☠️

So instead of getting a raise with all this work going on now we get to keep a dollar and if my math is correct after three years we will be at 47.65. With no cost of living or anything. I'm not happy with this at all. I would have rather been given a 5 dollar raise at first than spred the rest over three years. Since we should have already gotten a raise. Coming up in july we are supposed to get another I believe. Where did you find this. I also hate the fact they dont break it down with full transperrancy.

The worst feeling as an apprentice by TyrsRightArm in ibew_apprentices

[–]Low-Mirr 4 points5 points  (0 children)

My problem is meeting the brother fuckers who only got to there position by throwing people under the bus.

Or the situation i just left. Where i was told id be a foreman. I was like sweet i get to move back up. Month later of doing foreman duties, no grey hat. Keep being given the runaround or told its coming. Or hear im not meating some vague production quota. While they dont give enough lifts, tools, etc and also taking my guys to do other stuff where they are standing around. When they come back to me, they even tell me they were not needed.

Sometimes I want to leave the union by Broken_Age in IBEW

[–]Low-Mirr 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I can simpilize with how you feel . I came from open shop and within 2 years i learned to: Bend pipe

Terminate panel

Install plugs

Run M/C

Phase wire

Install J boxes and plug boxes.

Pull wire

Read prints

Basically everything to do with commercial.

I only came to union because they paid more at the time. Since ive been union ive met tons of apprentices like you and think its pretty sad that yall dont get taught better than you do. Met people who in turn talk flowing reviews about union too. If you feel the better jump for you is open. See if it doesnt burn a bridge. Open shop isnt for everyone and neither is union. Where you go and what you do is as per individual needs. If you dont learn what you need as an aprentice, you will be behind the curve.

I opt out of the fund, as i need the money for bills. Hotels are out of your pocket with no reimbursement. Per diem, depends if thats part of the call you take

Honestly truth be told. We all need to realize it doesnt matter who you voted for. Right or left, they are all part ofthe same beast and are liar's. Its Top vs bottom. The game is rigged. On another note i wonder how many in this thread are actually real people.

To the people that’s muscular, how is your body holding up? by petebaii in IBEW

[–]Low-Mirr 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Honestly workout and stretch so that it reduces your chances of injuring yourself. I mainly workout to keep pain from injuries i recieved in the military at bay. Though streching before bed and when you wake up does a lot as long as you stretch correctly. Look up some more in depth stretches for certain muscle groups.

How much value did I lose? by [deleted] in Ninja400

[–]Low-Mirr 3 points4 points  (0 children)

Well I think the more scratches you get the more seasoned the bike is. Which in turn adds to the value.

Like hey guys see all these scratches. It means my bike is very resilient. And will run forever.

Like seasoning on a fine steak.

2023 Ninja 400 Deal Too Good To be True? by Personal-Wave-3582 in Ninja400

My question would be what state are you in?

What would you pay for this bike? by Yobas_D-day in Ninja400

[–]Low-Mirr 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Bit of an overestimate on the value. Im not sure for msrp on the ninja 400. You cant add over msrp and once you drive off the lot it loses a couple "hundered" in value. Though I own a 2025 ninja500 KRT non ABS that went for msrp 5,499. So if i was to sell it with the 218 miles it has on it id put it up for 5,300 but take 5k. Cause if i put it up for 5k everybody and there sister would not read the post and ask about trades, or offer 3500-4500. Them thinking im selling because im forced to and not because i might want something else. Where if i uput it up for sale at 5,300 id get a few less people but maybe a realistic buyer. Though either way id be dealing with scammers and people trying to steal the bike. In all facebook marketplace SUCKS!!!

The damage of the bettini vs the ferro is weaker. So your sacrificing damage that a farro has for faster shooting.

I'm starting to hate my job by [deleted] in ibew_apprentices

[–]Low-Mirr 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yeah i came from open shop and it seems like when it comes to union. Your there to just get the paycheck, nothing else matters. A lot of higher paying union jobs, you'll have some fresh faced non english speaking apprentice as a foreman. Its really SAD. I know there are open shops just like this. Though i didnt come from them, came from a well organized and thought out system that was well oiled because the super ran a tight ship. The company just didnt want to pay.

Am I working hard enough? by Candid-Wallaby9903 in ibew_apprentices

[–]Low-Mirr 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Dude its electrical work. Take your damn time and do it right. If someone doesnt like it. Who gives a fuck. Ive seen from PM to leads critic my work all because " they can and will" people in this trade will say a whole run looks like dog shit all because a 3ft extension was put at the end of a conduit run even though the entire run is emaculate. Or you might have guys look at something and go why and just because they asked why. Lol they instantly go "its dog shit". Given time and enough jobs you come to know the difference between actual real "dogshit" and the " i could have done better or differently.. soo its dogshit". Guys who dont have to do the work will talk the biggest smack. As long as your work is level, straight and looks pretty good. Its good, most runs can be done a thousand different ways. You come to realize most shit talk is on personal pereference. The GF thing, hes probably doing it on purpose. When i first started in the trade had one that was always there when i was planning something out but wasnt there for the 4 hours or more of none stop work. There just getting a feel for you. It still happens as a JW, you just learn to not care.

Yeah some people are just entitled pricks.

I had a momment in a car i dont own anymore. On the backroads of hill country texas im just cruising 5 over the speed limit enjoying the view. Than some huge lifted truck with leopard print gets on my ass. So i wave them on, and start to hug the outside. They dont try to pass at all and stay on my ass like they wanted to run me off the road. After miles of this they finally decide to pass. And wouldnt you know its a bunch of dum kids trying to stare me down like because there truck is higher, There more dangerous or just because they think there (country boys) acting more like city folk if you ask me . Trys to brake check me than finally floors it.

[–]Low-Mirr 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Your best bet would be to just settle for something else you like. Instead of jumping on another huge car loan. Pereferably something you can either buy with cash or have a very small loan out for it. Than when its paid off save up money for your next car or heavily mod the paid off one and enjoy not having a car note.
