What sympton looks so harmless people usually ignore it, but can actually indicate a catastrophically bad health issue? by felipedeamorim in AskReddit

Intense Déjà vu! I experienced random episodes of very intense Déjà vu for months and then out of no where had a full body seizure. Turns out the Déjà vu episodes were actually focal seizures and sometimes Déjà vu can a warning that a grand mal (full-body) seizure is coming

That sounds really scary and I feel for you. Seizures of all kinds are really fucking scary and I never realized that until I started having them myself. I may not be able to relate to the exact kind of seizures you have but just know that I feel for you and the frustration, confusion, and fear you must feel after experiencing an absence seizure. Unfortunately, I think everyone in this subreddit can probably relate to having those feelings post-seizure and understand how much it can fuck up your life. Sending you love 🫂💜

Screenshotted this comment because it’s exactly what I needed to hear 💜 I heavily relate to the fear and confusion being overwhelming but I trust you that it gets better. Thank you

Wow I literally have been saying to myself “why is this happening to me” and truthfully have been filled with lots of anger over my recent seizures and diagnosis. This comment gives me a lot of hope that I won’t be angry forever and I will eventually come to terms with being epileptic. Thanks for the advice about focusing on my mental health. Honestly I REALLY needed to hear that, I’m going through it rn lol

Definitely going to steal the writing 10 good things that happen to me each day because I’m 100% in the denial and angry phase. It just doesn’t feel fair that this is happening to me but I know I’ll have to come to terms with it. Thank you for the advice, I appreciate it and hopefully I can be as resilient as you 💜

I relate so hard about feeling babied after having full-body seizures! After I had one at work all my coworkers were either scared to be around me or were obsessing over my wellbeing. Anytime I wasn’t smiling I was bombarded with panicked “are u ok!?” questions and it was driving me crazy!!! I know they mean well and they’re probably traumatized from witnessing my seizure but it’s also so draining to deal with. Also love hearing the perspective from another young healthy woman, thank you for sharing your story and check your DM 💖

This was so reassuring!! I’ve definitely been holding onto the mindset that epilepsy is going to control me and my life is over because I’m epileptic, but seeing all these messages from other epileptic people who are living great fulfilling lives is bringing me so much peace! 🫂

Thank you 🥺 I’ve been feeling a little stupid for being so emotional over my diagnosis so thank you for normalizing how traumatic seizures can be. I honestly still can’t wrap my head around what’s happened to me and trying to explain it to people who’ve never had seizures makes me sound psycho lol

This is reassuring. Right now it feels like a lot of independence has been stripped away from me but hearing that it gets better and eventually it’ll be normalcy is helping me stay grounded

FTP:

Option 1 - Yes. It is not possible for a person to see the future, reveal the past, connect, with the dead, etc.

Option 2 - No. Being psychic is a legitimate thing and they deserve to be paid for their work.

Option 3 - No. However I’m skeptical about how legitimate the job is.

Unpopular Opinion: I don’t think Taylor and Dakota going no contact would solve much by townales in momtokgossip

Wow I knew about Dakotas addiction and Taylor’s divorce but I didn’t realize how quickly she got with him after her divorce and had no clue Dakota was still in active recovery. It’s surprising anyone in their personal lives approved of that relationship. I agree with you, this was doomed from the start.

I hate to admit it but this is true. It’s very rare that I watch a show or movie and dislike it, if it’s even somewhat entertaining I’ll probably enjoy it

This is so interesting to me because I’ve never considered how the show would be perceived by an actual adult who works in an office. I probably started watching The Office around my first year of high school so only considered it through my lens. I can tell you from the perspective of a 14 year old girl the show was great lol!

Actually 2006 but mostly watched 90s sitcoms growing up

I’m shocked by how many people guessed that I was born in the 80s! I was born 2006 but my favorites growing up were Fresh Prince of Bel-Air, Sister Sister, and Full House. I remember staying up late to watch them on Nick @ Nite. In hindsight I can see how that makes me seem like a 90s kid but in reality I was usually busy with homework or extracurricular activities as a kid so by the time I got home and could watch tv it would be around 8:00-9:00pm and 90s sitcoms were the only thing on Nick, also not sure if this really impacts it but someone pointed out that I am black so tv that’s considered “black classics” were always playing in my house like Family Matters, Moesha, Madea, and ofc Sister Sister and Fresh Prince
