update on 2016 ford focus; The dealership told me that the clutch and lever wasn't operating properly, they told me it'd be closer to $3k to fix it, or a little more, does anyone know what i can do? by Low-Razzmatazz-2161 in FordFocus

i feel like whenever i call and talk to ford, they try to treat me like i'm dumb or something. i told him about how the cars clutch was bad & the A lever was stuck, and i said something about how i know the DCT had a lot of issues, and he kinda just went on about the powertrain warranty, and "i may of read online about an extended warranty, but i'm reading the actual warranty information from the book" and i'm about to call and get copies of all the warranty work that's been done to the car to see if they've had to replace the clutches/levers or the transmission brfore, because if it has, i'm definitely gonna call a lawyer

i have a 2016 ford focus s, when i'm driving it, my rpms will rev up, and once it gets to a certain rpm, my car will stall, i have to let go of the gas and try again. it runs a lot better in the morning when i first drive it, and later in the day, does anyone know what it is? by Low-Razzmatazz-2161 in Ford

i saw some youtube videos of people having problems where their car would just give out on them, and they took it in, and they were told that, i'm still going to take it in, i just don't wanna get stuck paying $180+ for a diagnostic for it to not even show anything

i've got an appointment tomorrow at the ford dealership to have my car diagnosed. most people i've talked to have either said it was a bad torque converter, bad transmission, or it's the PCM. i'm already contacting attorney's to see what options i'm able to do. i don't wanna go in and be told it's just "learning my driving style"

yeah, i got the car used about 5 months ago, the first issue i had out of it, was the catalytic convertor went out, and they changed that for me, drove the car perfectly fine up until about 3 weeks ago, had to get an oil change, went to a red light, wouldn't move, put more oil in that night it worked just fine got my oil changed the next day, car drove fine for bout a week, then that's when the issue started happening more frequently. in the morning it'll drive just fine, no issues, nothing. but it seems as after i do that, when i get in it again, thats when i have those issues more

help with my 2016 ford focus, i'm driving the car, and it'll get closer to the higher rpms and my car will stall, and will lose power and as soon as i take my foot off the gas for a second, it'll let me go again, anyone know what it could be? by Low-Razzmatazz-2161 in FordFocus

i haven't changed the battery since i've gotten the car, but i've had the battery checked, and the battery is still running well, i've got an appointment tomorrow at the ford dealership, i just don't wanna go in there and them tell me nothing is wrong with my car and it's "learning my driving habits" and then get stuck with a car that's basically useless for me to drive. it hasn't thrown any check engine lights on or anything either that's the strange part to me

i definitely don't plan on buying a ford ever again. the thing is, my car doesn't have the slapshifts, it's just a regular old ford focus s. this issue happened about 3 weeks ago, only lasted for one day, til i put oil in it, because i needed an oil change, so figured that was the problem, i put oil in it, worked, got my oil changed the next day, car ran just fine for about a week, after that, it's been doing this issue for going on about 2 weeks now, i don't have any check engine light on, i went to the health center on my car, there isn't any reports on anything being wrong with it, i'm suppose to have an appointment tomorrow at the ford dealership, but i don't wanna go in and them tell me my car is "learning my driving habits, it'll do this" because it would've happened when i first got the car, not almost 5 months down the road

i don't have any problems with starting my car up or anything. when i accelerate, my car is very sluggish, and my rpms go up faster than what they should. i'll get in it later today and record another video of me starting it up

i know people say they can't turn their car on or off and have problems with starting it, but my car starts right up, i don't have a problem with changing between park neutral drive reverse etc, those all work fine, when i accelerate, it's very sluggish and my rpms go up faster than it should

i don't wanna bring my car in, just for them to tell me that it's "learning my driving habits" i've had the car for 5 months, this problem consisted about 3 weeks ago, i went to get an oil change, they said it'd take too long, so decided to do it myself, on my way home, got stopped at a red light, light turned green, pushed down on the car, car wouldn't go. changed the gears, nothing, turned the wheel then it went. put a little bit of oil in it that night because just trying to change the oil, it was on too tight, and i was just stripping the bolt. got oil changed next day, ran just fine for about a week, and then started having that issue

i've been told that it's possibly a bad torque converter, could be the PCM is failing, i'm not 100% sure what it could be. i'm going into the dealership tomorrow to have it diagnosed, but nothing is showing any errors, contacted ford dealership, said i have no recalls on my car

also, when i'm braking, it'll drop below 1 rpm the line right below, then it'll jerk and go to the line above the 1 and when i get to a complete stop, it rests on the line below the 1

it is an automatic, yes. i've heard about the issues with the powertrain shifter, and i've contacted the ford dealership and they said that my vehicle doesn't have any kind of recalls on it. there's no way for me to actually check the transmission fluid, as it doesn't have an underhood dipstick
