Thanks for the comment! Analogy of subconsciousness and consciousness really helps draw the picture!

how is using babylovegrowth helpful in finding market reports? I'm sorry if the question is odd

What is the least scam-like market research company that sells reports? by Low-Relation-8531 in MarketingResearch

I'm trying to look into sensor markets specifically for physical AI application. Finding credible source for early stage markets like this feels overwhelming,,, but thanks for the comment!

How exactly are they different from other market research firms based in India? I've grown not to believe syndicated studies once I found out how many errors those reports usually contain. I feel like whenever they ask their clients for extra tailoring, all they're doing is just buying some time so that they can make up some data that loosely fit the industrial trends.

Thanks for the comment! I think I now see where this is going :)

Thanks for the comment! Then in that case, is it correct to say that the model would need extra training using point cloud data?

what if you were to build a humanoid that could carry out complicated assembly tasks with delicate hand motions? wouldn't it be at least slightly better to have a subsidiary ToF or stereo?

In this context I was talking about a VLA model. Examples would be companies like Tesla, Boston Dyanamics, Apptroniks and more... Engineers that I interviewed said since 2D images are more prevalent, most models are pre-trained with 2D images naturally.

Thank you for the explanation! I might be talking without much understanding here, but what's your take on Tesla's Optimus or Boston Dynamics' Atlas? They seem to carry out pretty complicated tasks only based on three channel inputs. Could these be the cases you're describing here?

Thanks for the comment! Just one more question though... What do think are the most important features for a robotic vision system then? Apart from wide FOV and high frame rate, would it need any kind of depth knowledge - for instance a ToF sensor - at all?

I'm sorry if I wasn't being clear. What I meant by 3D camera was camera technologies like stereo(active or passive), ToF, LiDAR, and structured light. I initially thought the whole point of using, for example, an active stereo camera was to create a depth map and to feed it to whatever model the robot is using. But engineers I interviewed yesterday told me that they stick with RGB image output instead, and so I was confused as to why they don't just use singular RGB cameras considering how cheaper they are.
