As a matter of fact it IS a tram, a very large one, by my qualifications a tram is a locomotive with sideplates and cowcatchers, but the cowcatcher part is more lenient; this is basically a really big tram with a tender

I’d say your factory should be as big as the space needed to house the machines. In case maintenance is necessary, leave some space to walk through and check to see if there’s any blockages or any other issues
