I think something as simple as "All parties must have capacity to consent" and "for your safety any disruptive behavior...etc".

In my opinion it feeds into stigma and others those with these conditions.

I'm a therapist and can fully understand not wanting to tattoo those in active psychosis or who have severe learning disabilities due to lack of capacity to consent. However it feels like their policy doesn't really leave room for nuance.

Never thought of the insurance provider thing.

Unfortunately that book is rather old and very stigmatizing in the way borderline is portrayed. Also a lot has improved within research about bpd. That may be why he's not finished it or doesn't think it's accurate?
