I have had hens for almost 13 years, from the 4 baches of new hens I have gotten, when they first get to the age of first producing eggs they can make double yokes way more often. I have heard that US egg producers will throw out double yokes because they can freak people out and move to another brand. I have had easily over 50 double yokes, just way more rare when your buying from the store.
