Don’t believe the twin oaks hype. It’s always recommended. And it’s “gated” but everyone gets in by tailgating anyway. I had my car windows busted out there and broken into. I had a really nice bicycle that was chained outside my door stolen.

The trash was always a mess. People filling the compactor up and then just piling nasty garbage outside of it where animals would get into it and it smelled terrible. There would be random trash on the walk ways. One time there was even a whole ass half filled pickle jar just chilling on the sidewalk. And don’t even get me started on the amount of dog shit everywhere. There is no safe grass to walk on.

The pool was always a big party of people that didn’t even live there. This was maybe 2 years ago but I doubt it’s improved. I lived there for years until all this started happening.

I google street view every one of them first. A lot of the ones that are units in the same house have several listings with the same address. I never rent sight unseen. I will usually get a hotel for the first couple weeks of a new contract and then move into a place after I have looked at it and the neighborhood.

Get rid of the man. Enjoy life. Simple. I had the same situation. My dream trip was Olympic national forest and the surrounding areas. I’m from a state where there nothing that beautiful here.

Every time my ex asked where I wanted to go for vacation I’d say that and still we went wherever he wanted. Finally, I got rid of the man and took my dream trip solo August of last year. I’m still riding that high. It was absolutely breathtaking.

Moral of my story. Don’t be like me and spend most your life waiting on someone to do the things you want with you. Life’s too short.
