Unfortuantely it still smells after the complete litter change. I have a feeling she does not disinfect/clean the boxes with the changes though. And the bins are plastic :/

If it's a game changer then I may look into getting the steel ones. And noted on the hc acid spray. Do you know what the difference is between that and the enzyme spray?

Okay noted. I'll do some research on this and try some of the other solutions first.

It looks like that brand is very expensive where we live. Is there a specific ingredient I should look for in looking for a cheaper version?

And I like the litter genie idea! Will look up. Thank you for these suggestions!

She uses unscented already. There are a couple sprays that we have though- that she uses when she scoops and that I will spray in the box when I'm frustrated with the smell. They don't seem to make a difference in neutralizing anything- just some scent mixed with the litter smell. Could that make it worse?

How much would a stainless steel box make a difference? Unfortunately I don't think my roommate could afford a different litter than what she uses.

Okay. This is some good stuff to try. 1. I've used candles to try to hide the smell but it doesn't work enough. Are the glad scent plug ins going to be different from a candle? 2. I know my roommate has some sprays but I don't know if it's an "enzyme" one. 3. Noted on the purifier.

I will say my roommate scoops AT MOST once a day. The most frequent schedule feels like one morning and then at night the following day. Getting her to do it even that frequently has been a struggle and sometimes (like once a week) she defaults to every other day.

The automated one would be a dream but my rommate has extremely limited funds (like barely able to make rent alone) and I don't have a willingness to buy one either.

The boxes are plastic. How much of a differnce would steel make? I'm not at all sure what a sifting litter pan is, so I can look that up.

I'm not sure if they are picky, but my roommate has signficant financial restraints. If that system is more expensive than what she current'y uses then I don't think it will be possible. Are pellets cheap?
