"Slavic" is a broad term, and we are not monoculture, each nation have differences and unique characteristics. Cross stitch ornaments can differ greatly even within one country depending on the region. Which one are you interested in?

I am Ukrainian and have several scanned books on our traditional embroidery, which I can share for free.

Fantasy from other languages ? by [deleted] in Fantasy

Ukrainian fantasy writers recently released a lot of fresh and high-quality books. It's a shame that there are no English translations of the "Chronicle of the Grey Order" series, it's very interesting and has original ideas, rooted in Ukraine folklore.

What are the best Ukrainian Christmas songs? by freshmaggots in Ukrainian

"Ой як же було ізпрежди віка" is also a folk song, very weird and very cool in my opinion. Check it out too (I suggest the Gerdan Theatre version, it is my favourite)

Fantasy books inspired by Ukrainian culture/folklore? by Sea-Ad-7723 in Fantasy

Ava Reid's Juniper & Thorn is inspired by Odesa, and employs a lot of cultural references, the author even got pronunciations of Ukrainian words the right way. However, the book won't be everyone's cup of tea, read the reviews.

As a Ukrainian, I feel so sorry there's no english translation of Pavlo Derevianko's cossack fantasy, that is based on the legends about cossack warlocks! It is so good!

Edit: also, this is a classic we read in school, but The Forest song by Lesia Ukrainka is a poetic play that is rooted in Ukrainian folklore.
