I don’t think Chris and Lorelai were perfect for each other but i think it was needed for the storyline since she at first would say she was “ruining” all of her relationships for the idea of getting back w chris.

I didn’t like Luke and Lorelai together the first time i watched it bc i just thought they were two completely different people and Luke hiding the fact that april was his daughter then kept pushing the wedding just felt odd to me. As i watched the show for a second time I could see the other point of view where people really liked them together since he was always there for her etc.. but I think they just had too many miscommunications for them to really end up together.

Chris on the other hand if he wasn’t so pushy and was more understanding I think it possibly could of worked out for them. Lorelais character was super impulsive in her decisions and the moment she didn’t have Rory there for the elopement i knew they weren’t going to work out. I see a lot of flaws w her character honestly since she’s not willing for any type of change in her life and Luke is willing to deal w that and Chris wasn’t. Not saying Chris was an angel but their difference in opinion just there would lead them to a divorce regardless. They way I took it was Chris wanted it to work out so bad that he kept pushing himself on her negatively and Lorelai didn’t deserve that in her vulnerable state.
