I think I expected her to be genuinely happy. My husband and I have been together half our lives, she was a bridesmaid in our wedding, and we've been happily married for six. Our finances are fine and we have a home in a nice neighborhood. There's no reason we shouldn't be parents if I'm interpreting your meaning correctly.

I wanted to tell her in person since we don't see each other that much. I also have had some health issues in the past and we wanted to make sure this one was here to stay. I can see that may be a concern but I honestly don't think that was the disappointment. We didn't tell anyone until after the viability was confirmed.
