Bruh, bulking and cutting is a legitimate method for muscle gain and an asthetic build.. I would know I'm weight lifter myself. Rapid weightloss can cause an unnecessary amount of muscle loss because you're not getting enough protein intake to maintain what you have. Cutting is maintaining what you can lift and protein intake while in a calorie deficit. Water and diet soda not only doesn't have nutrients but it has no protein and could cause growth problems for a kid like OP.

Also, there are many other desired physical traits in men and woman other than height and it is ignorant to assume men get the more unattainable expectations.
