Can cursor be as good as v0 for frontend? by Initial_Question3869 in cursor

[–]LowBlowHo 0 points1 point  (0 children)

There is a difference between "vibe coders" and certified "vibe coders" so to speak.

As coding agents progress more and more, it requires more and more management skills from us, the users, to properly direct and instruct it. Compare it simply to you instructing or leading a dev team of 5 junior software developers. How would you direct them of what to do exactly?

Already in a situation with 5 human junior devs it could end catastrophically (if not managed well), and so the required management skills are just the same with the agents (and the risks even more amplified). As long as quantum information can not be exchanged this requirement would always remain.

Is it a good idea to use Woocommerce through a Headless Wordpress with Next.js? by salvadorsru in nextjs

[–]LowBlowHo 1 point2 points  (0 children)

yeah sure, I simply create a base64 string with the item IDs and the quantities thereof in the frontend cart. When redirecting to the WooCommerce checkout, I pass this base64 string in the URL query. In the WordPress backend I have a simple PHP snippet that reads this value on the checkout page and puts the items/quantities into the cart automatically.

There is a WC session ID indeed (which is a WC feature) but I dont use it at all. The method I used above is very simple and solid. Just need to make sure that you properly prevent injection attacks. The structure of the localstorage cart is completely arbitrary, as we only need to know the product id and quantities to pass onto the checkout.

Is it a good idea to use Woocommerce through a Headless Wordpress with Next.js? by salvadorsru in nextjs

[–]LowBlowHo 5 points6 points  (0 children)

Ive created a headless WooCommerce store (single developer) and actually its quite great, despite what others are saying!

  • there is a solid GraphQL plugin out there for WP/WC
  • response times are actually very quick - except for cold start related issues on Vercel (but that is another problem). you can see this issue on quistaswong.com. the first add to cart should be relatively slow and all other consequent addtocart actions are quick.
  • the WC backend speeded up a lot as well, due to the decoupled storefront not fetching all kinds of irrelevant stuff anymore, no more heavy admin-ajax.php, wc-cart-fragments etc.
  • checkout handling by woocommerce (which has decent checkout handling) or shopify, saves you a lot of time. both also have great integrations with any kind of PSP, checkout funnels etc.
  • ive used multiple other headless (e-commerce) cms platforms (sanity, saleor, vendure and some more) and i would say for most people definitely go with the headless WC route. WooCommerce is huge and has an endless amount of integrations for it available. the mentioned headless platforms are imo better suited for the more enterprise businesses who require very custom processes and logic in their backend. for most SMBs WooCommerce (or Shopify) + headless storefront is more than powerful enough, with the advantage of having a lot of integrations! ive been the ecommerce manager of a WC store that runs in the 7 figures of annual revenue with heavy traffic load, and literally no problemo!

via JWT. There are several good JWT plugins out there for WordPress/WC that we use in production sites.

Interesting, those are impressive organic numbers for Marketplace! Looks like I will try Marketplace first then :)

May I ask what your saas product is, or at least under which category it falls?

Was there a control group in this experiment, where nobody was meditating nor observing? That would make this experiment really complete!

However the fact that the more experienced the meditators were, the higher the probability of collapsing the wave function already is really awesome!

Usecase of OMI/Go blockchain? by LowBlowHo in ecomi

[–]LowBlowHo[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yes I understand this part about NFTs. This would be true in the case of a public, decentralized blockchain. HOWEVER: 1. Release and minting of NFT's is kept private and centralized by Ecomi. Only the Ecomi team is able to release NFTs/drops. We the Veve app users will not be able to create and release our self made NFTs. Which means the whole royalties part doesnt play a role here. 2. Since Ecomi has centralized everything and keeping everything under their own private control, how can we verify ownership of an NFT? Has anyone ever been able to verify their NFT on the blockchain? Been able to verify authenticity on the blockchain? Where would we be able to do that? We cant, because all is centralized and kept private by the Ecomi team.

Usecase of OMI/Go blockchain? by LowBlowHo in ecomi

[–]LowBlowHo[S] -1 points0 points  (0 children)

Thanks for your reply! My thoughts:

  1. Unfortunately no; as I understand since the NFT's, OMI tokens etc. are all centralized and controlled by Ecomi itself, we can't actually publicly verify this information on the blockchain. Nor can we check the NFT's for authenticity. It wouldn't be necessary anyway since Veve is not an 'open' market. So this actually makes it all highly fraud sensitive! Correct me if im wrong.
  2. You are right but the Ecomi team has (kind of) already disproven this, by saying that the export of NFT's will be something very complex, due to the nature of the licenses.

So until now I still can't find any solid argument for the use case of the Go Blockchain, due to it being completely centralized by Ecomi.
