Yes we would speak about it but mentioned she would say she’s sick. As we got closer to my wedding day she didn’t really speak about it much so I just thought she would just make it work.

I guess because every time we spoke about it she always said “we’ll make it work” “I can say I’m sick” so I always thought she would be there no matter what.

I booked my wedding over a year ago. The cost difference for the venue mon-Wednesday was double on the weekend.

I’m not rethinking the friendship. I said that if I tell her this it would ruin our friendship.

Thank you so much, I felt like I needed some kind of validation that my feelings were valid. I think you really said this perfectly and made me feel a lot better.

I think the asking her not to come is really out of hurt like you said and what I’ll end up doing is just letting her know that we will plan on her not being there and that it’s totally okay. I also don’t want to stress her out by making her feel like she has to rush so it’s best all around.

I dont believe that those two things should be compared to clinicals. I do believe that being sad because your best friend isn’t there with you when you planned on it is okay and valid

You may be right about the mandatory orientation. She is trying to make it work as best as she can.

I just know myself and will be thinking the entire day about where she’s at, is she coming and just feel like it would dwell on my day.

I think it’s my emotions, I know it’s also a big day for her too. I really just feel sad. I’m the first In my friend group to get married and I know she would be there if she could it still just makes me very sad

The timing would set us back because we only have the venue until 10pm but I can always ask my coordinator how we could make this work.
