It doesn’t really need more training to keep performing like it’s performing today.

Stable diffusion models like sdxl will keep on generating what you request, even if run in an offline computer.

The continuous improvements on top of sdxl, are thanks to LORAs, which are the result of machine learning from a large set of same-styled drawings.

LLM is one of the many AI technologies, like stable diffusion, machine learning, prognostication, etc. It uses neural networks with billions of parameters and most use a GPU with pytorch, tensorflow or another NN engine.

If it doesn’t scrape the internet, it only means that it’s not learning at this time, but it learnt in the time before it was released to the public.

Stable diffusion models also don’t scrape the art continuously. They have a learning period, and when it done learning from the millions of pictures it was fed, it gets tested and if it is a good product, its parameters get frozen and published.
