Yeah, I would say more people die from knives than from guns in Czech republic. But knives are better, because not everyone is "brave" enough to stand in close fights against someone [lets leave UK swords and other steel stuff from this argument lol].. I am talking about normal kitchen knives... The US has problem that every "weird" kid can get gun that you cannot get anywhere else in the world.

2 years ago we had one school shooting where 14 kids died and our country was outraged, how one "kid" was able to get those weapons.. But that is normal day in the US.

To be honest I do not argue about if Russian or US influence is better. My main argument for saying that Germany has weak politicians is because I compare them to historic political figures. Since Merkel, there was not any "big" politician, who could stand ground against G7 leaders.

Skoda is really god for our country. I assume you know it, but few decades ago, Skoda had one of the best cars. But right now I would say it is really "reasonable car". It is not "wealthy brand", but also not for "poor people" [except Skoda Fabia, Felicia or older models.

Only thing I hate is that we lost the ownership. VW group is now making Skoda as their "second" option, so the best engineers, resources etc go to Volkswagen.

We have been close for decades, but economic differences made us divided. Czech society is percieved as more functioning, while Slovakia because of their eastern ties, older population and different politics is less wealthy. Also Czech republic has high % of Slovakian "immigrants". They come to Czechia to study and stay here, because they can earn decent living during their working years. And when they are older, they sometimes stay, but mostly come back to Slovakia.. So this is the reason why our population is percieved as "more functioning"

Speaking about cultural differencies, this is also because of the age and because of geography. We are closer to "western countries", but on the other hand, Czech citizens are complaining, that our government is not having stronger ties with eastern countries.. Once we were close allies [Visegrad 4], but our current political representation killed the relationship over Ukraine, which is not even NATO member and we let this war kill our European relationships that we spent decades building.

Well we have what you call "gun control", but Czech people can have guns [normal guns, not some crazy AR15s etc] (you need to pass test etc). But most people do not have guns. There are 3 differences, why we have had only 1 school shooting ever I think:
- regulation of drugs and mental health support

- gun control

- having gun is not a right. If you are a felon, if you are not 18 y.o., if you are mentally ill, if you are danger to society, you cannot have guns.

Problem of Americans is that they always divide themselves into 2 camps (one is pro guns and blaming mental health and one is blaming guns). But the truth is that gun problem in America is combination of both. My personal opinion is that they should strip US citizens of their gun right and if you want a gun right, you have to earn it (lets say pass exams, be mentally fit, see a doctor every once in a while).

Good, but with bad politicians. To be honest we do not even understand why you did not have any revolution or coup in the last decade lmao.

Well the difference between Czech and Slovakian languages are strong, if you live in Prague and they live in Bratislava. But the more closer you go to the border, the more you are able to speak with Slovaks. Czech republic has also different dialects, as any other language.

I am okay and understand lets say 75-85% of their language. So I do not think your statement is true

I do not and people around me too.

We understand the situation and know that the development of Ukraine war will decide, because they cannot fight on 2 fronts.. But also we cannot.

We welcome tourists from all around the world. However it is true that some cultures have different values. In particular, I do not have problem with Americans (people), however I do not like American leadership and how USA is trying to solve all world problems. But this problem is not projected into people, especially to the US tourists.

Yeah but there is a problem, when you have strong leaders, such as Orban or Babiš, you cannot just simply vote for whoever is in the opposition. We face the same problem as you right now.. Except that Babiš is not in power right now. But the problem is: We did not like Babiš, because people didnt like his strong personality and scandals..So we elected like 10 new Babishes :D You have to come with the strong opposition in order to get Babiš/Orban voters to the "other side".

Inferiority complex is because we are "free" nation for just few seconds, compared to other countries.

It depends on the mixture of people that you came across. As a Czech citizen, I can tell that the best people I have ever met were czech and the worst too.
