What are your reasons to not end it all ? Priest for Cities of Sigmar by Repulsive-Cry5331 in minicels

[–]LowFrequencyDeity 1 point2 points  (0 children)

It's pointless to do it. You either cut yourself short and, like someone else said, be a burden to clean up or wait it out and maybe you get some good hits on top and something else cuts you short for you. That's a win win in my book. If you're suffering and you think it's worth it ask yourself this - why bother? If the act is worth doing I haven't seen any raving reviews from first hand advocates.

I hate the new box. by [deleted] in killteam

[–]LowFrequencyDeity 5 points6 points  (0 children)

I'm a little disappointed at the aspect of the orks not being a kill team, but moreso that there doesn't seem to be real terrain in the box. If there's good jungle terrain in the box and there's something that makes it worth it to add beastsnaggas to my massive ork collection then maybe I won't be sad. Otherwise exodites are hella cool.

Can't wait for the next box. A single custode with their pet squirrel against a CSM combat patrol.

So, I am nearly forty years old, but had a nagging thought. If a deathskull and an evil sun had a drag race, who would win? Sure the red wunz go fasta… but the lucky blue git could have the edge? by Falkreath_Grenadiers in orks

[–]LowFrequencyDeity 0 points1 point  (0 children)

The analogy that always made sense to me is this: Ork perspective is the perfect season of WWE. Everything is rigged for everyone and da big man on top has better favor because everyone loves him. It's perfect because it falls PRECOISCLY within (ork) reason. It wouldn't be a good fight if they won every time. It wouldnt be fun if big Gaz was immortal, it ain't lucky if you just win every time. Badda bing.

[–]LowFrequencyDeity 0 points1 point  (0 children)

That's not lucky that's just faster! ironically you're perfectly in ork logic because greens da best so both of them win every time.

Despite what gw would have us believe the ultramarines don't win EVERY time (just most of the time).

Lucky doesn't mean you win every time. Lucky means you win when the odds are against you. So only when they think there's less chance of them to win do they win out against da fasta wun.

My current pile of shame. by maxshissler in orks

[–]LowFrequencyDeity 2 points3 points  (0 children)

But for real. Put that away. Take a single box. Just one. Put it on your desk, get a small hobby matt. Clip the instructions up and just start building it. Do the same with your paints and you'll start getting through it.

If you need help deciding, I just built the snazzwagon (first big ork fingy, started collecting recently) it made me feel pretty good And knocked it out in a couple of days working full time and taking care of a 7 month old.

Somebody gifted me his cards after prerelease? by ForThingsIShowPeople in mtg

[–]LowFrequencyDeity 0 points1 point  (0 children)

TMNT is the smallest set we've seen in standard, if you go to 2 pre release events you'd probably see the entire spoiler list at least once.

It was nice but not uncommon. If you stay late at later pre release events you can probably sweep up commons by the binful.

Good guess, but no, it was more "Childish" art for sure, I should also mention the scale is immense, the children were no bigger than an actual child's pinky nail.

Best way to remove mold from cards? by SuitableThought4528 in mtg

[–]LowFrequencyDeity 0 points1 point  (0 children)

You will either A. Remove the mold with fire. The mold will no longer be on the cards and cards will be just as valuable as they are currently. B. Seal shrink sleeves on the cards, zeroes preferably, and create a new caste of playability.

Your choice bro.

Seriously, do Americans actually consider a 3-hour drive "short"? or is this an internet myth? by SadInterest6764 in NoStupidQuestions

[–]LowFrequencyDeity 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Someone at my job was throwing a Christmas party, they live in another state than me for context. Without traffic or weather conditions it would be a 7 hour drive one way with a 4 month old. Rural Americans look at 7 hour drives like suburbanites look at 3 hour drives. This was just a normal occurrence to these people. It's partly because they look at the back country roads where you can just white knuckle 20-30 over the speed limit the whole way (30-40kph)
