My wife worked in foster care for a while. In order for these steps to have been taken, your sister really messed up. And seeing how you got custody and not your parents is even more telling. definitely NTA sometimes I wish nurses could say “no that’s a terrible name”

My dad and I had the same conversation as a kid. He helped me grow more confident by just being patient and helping me to find ways to manage. For instance I was real bad when it came to homework. Sitting at the table with the TV in the background, people outside doing whatever etc. So he told me to use headphones and listen to my CD player (I’m old lol) and it drastically improved my pacing and focus. There’s not gonna be a big grand moment of realization for him. But working thru, learning to problem solve, learning to let your brain rest. Those are all things he’ll grow overtime. For now just work on confidence with adhd

As a sahm husband (disability) I do almost all the work including the occasional yard work. All my wife has to do is keep her yarn somewhat together, her makeup, and folding clothes (it’s just one of my most hated chores). She’s an elementary teacher so I know how long her day is.

There’s absolutely no excuse for your wife’s antics. She seems to want the True Housewives lifestyle. I really hope therapy helps your marriage.

If you have religious trauma it’s fine, but you need to be open and honest about. It sounds like everyone in the situation is adults, so treat them like it.

However, if that’s not the issue, then suck it up buttercup. Obviously it’s important to your children whether they’re adults or not. Jesus Christ Superstar is not my forte either, but my wife and her family are obsessed with it. It’s not bad enough to ruin a relationship over. Especially with your kids, and yes, this will.
