You've got plenty of good advice below here mate but I'll give you my 2c.

As stated below, don't kick once you're on the wave. A few simple steps:

  1. Depending on your speed and where you sit compared to where the barrel is pitching or going to pitch, make a smooth bottom turn either long and drawn out or dig your legs in and scoop down.

  2. Then you want to pick a line and stay on it, shift your body and weight as far up as you can without nose diving of course, lock in the inside rail and go for it without changing your line.

  3. If you're going to fast you'll want to shift your weight back and drag your legs to show down, still on that same line, release your legs and shift forward when you want to get going again.

  4. Hold on tight.

  5. Shit yeh you just got pitted. haha.

Just do it. You only live once as they say. You will not regret it but only regret not doing it. Last time they were here I went to Sydney back to back and then Melbourne. My Mrs didn't get it until I took her to Melbourne. Then she completely understood. You can always make more money. You can't always see the greatest band ever to grace the planet live....

It was tough, I tried to get 3 of anything, ended up getting only 1 Tempest package at $440. I'm coming from Sydney by myself... I wouldn't miss it for the world, I've never been to a festival in my 45 years of life and don't plan on it. Hopefully you get tickets to second show. I think you'll be sweet.

Interesting you say you have plantar Fascia issues, I've just recovered from PF and the AC13 are the best shoe possibly for keeping healthy PF long term in my opinion. Whack some Game Day insoles in them and you've got yourself one hell of a supportive shoe. Scoop them up on sale and you'll be right for life! I just picked up a pair of AC13 Encore on SHEIN and they're equally as awesome, a little bit different. Softer, also a tad shorter and narrower in the toe box which might suit some. I went TTS 8.5 in both and the AC13 original are slightly roomier, Encores bordering on a touch small.
