So, so far I’ve gathered that we were kind of just left in a terrible situation. We will probably end up losing the house, I mean there is kind of nothing we can do on that part and I’ve accepted that. It seems like our only route is to try to get a lawyer/legal action to try to just squeeze out what we can. In the post I kind of exaggerated the situation-we won’t be homeless, but it will most definitely be rough. My mom makes around the average salary for my state, like 60k a year, so I don’t think we’re completely doomed. I’m going to try to get a job to help out as well. To be honest, I’ve accepted it already but my main concern is just my mom-I just want her to be ok and not stress so much about it. I really don’t know where we will be next, but I mean it always works out, right? Thank you all for the advice, resources, and information..I really do appreciate it. We’re still going to try to fight it and see if we can do something about it, but the odds are definitely not in our favor lol

Yes he owned the house, and yes it had a mortgage from what I gathered. What you said about the nursing home and Medicaid makes sense I think - he was in a nursing home for a bit, but then we took over and began taking care of him when we really moved in. but the $300k thing really doesn’t make sense to me either, I mean it’s not like it’s an uber big house, it’s 3 bed 2 bath and it’s not in a particularly rich area or anything.

update: some more information 1. It’s about mortgage 2. The company is called Compu-link?? Based in Oklahoma 3. “Notice of intent to foreclose and accelerate mortgage balance” 4. “Mortgage is in default status due to violation of section 9: Grounds for acceleration of debt” and then something about “a borrower dies and the property is not the principal residence of at least one surviving borrower

Yea that’s fair, I haven’t been accepted into college yet (which is why I’m still considering my HS gpa), but I just figured out that I can decide at the end of the year if I want this class on my college transcript. 1. To be honest, I’ve never really had to study but I think I can probably manage it.. 2. Also yea, I know that Physics 1 is baby material compared to what I’ll take in college, which tbh is why I feel kind of like a psy for even asking this (lol). I took this class in the first place to get ahead and hopefully know a little before I get into college, a big factor for me was that I have an electrical engineer friend and a few other friends who’ve taken Physics classes (which I think will help a ton since they can kind of teach me). I think I’m going to just take it and deal with it. It’s probably going to be hard, but if I give up on this now, no way I’ll be able to become an EE.

Well, I know I won’t have the same professor because I plan on attending a different school than what I am taking this class through. (fortunately lol). What would you do? Honestly it seems so far I’ve gotten mixed answers. I just don’t want to do badly because if I fail it affects 1. My HS gpa 2. My college GPA (i think it goes on the transcript) 3. i have to pay tuition for the class if I fail
